Galaxy A23 5G Price in Pakistan and Full Specs
Samsung Galaxy A23 5G — Full Specifications, Features and Price in Pakistan
The Samsung Galaxy A23 5G was the 2022 sweet spot of the A-series: a Snapdragon 695 chip, a 120Hz display, and a 50MP camera with optical image stabilisation — a combination that made it one of Samsung's best-selling mid-rangers in Pakistan. It is now discontinued, so units on sale are used, but the Snapdragon silicon and 120Hz screen keep it relevant. This guide covers its verified specifications, how it differs from the 4G Galaxy A23 (Snapdragon 680 — a different phone), and what to verify before buying used.

Design and Build Quality
The A23 5G has a clean, modern design with a matte plastic back that resists fingerprints and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor in the power button. It feels solid and well-balanced in hand. On used units, check the camera module surround and the frame edges — the matte finish hides minor wear well, but drops can crack the plastic frame.
Display Features
The 6.6-inch 120Hz display is the smoothest screen in this price bracket — scrolling and animations feel flagship-like. It is a PLS LCD rather than AMOLED, so contrast and blacks trail Samsung's AMOLED models, but the 1080 x 2408 resolution is sharp and brightness is good outdoors. For buyers who value refresh rate over contrast, this is the best display deal among used Samsung 5G phones.
Processor and Performance
The Snapdragon 695 (6 nm) remains a genuinely capable mid-range chip in 2026: quick everyday performance, efficient battery use, and popular games running well at medium-high settings. It is meaningfully faster than the Dimensity 700 in the A22 5G and far ahead of the older 4G chips in this price range. The integrated 5G modem supports SA/NSA networks for future-proof connectivity.
RAM and Storage
With 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage plus a dedicated microSD slot up to 1TB, the A23 5G is well-provisioned for years of use. The 8GB version multitasks excellently; even the 6GB version handles 2026 apps comfortably. 128GB of base storage plus cheap microSD expansion means storage anxiety is a non-issue.
Camera Features
The 50MP main camera with OIS and PDAF is the camera highlight: sharp daylight shots, steadier low-light photos than non-OIS rivals, and stable handheld video. The 5MP ultrawide is serviceable for landscapes, while the macro and depth sensors are minor additions. The 8MP front camera is adequate for video calls and casual selfies but unremarkable. Video records at 1080p at 30fps.
Battery and Charging
The 5,000mAh battery with 25W charging delivers a full day of heavy use comfortably, and the efficient Snapdragon 695 stretches it further than the spec sheet implies. 25W charging refills the battery in about an hour and twenty minutes — decent, though not class-leading. On used units, check real-world drain; three-to-four-year-old batteries show their age.
Software and Updates
The A23 5G launched with Android 12 and One UI 4.1 and received subsequent major updates during Samsung's support window — confirm the installed version on any used unit, as it affects app compatibility. Samsung's update commitment for this model has now run its course, so no further major upgrades are coming. Most current apps still run fine, but verify your banking and essential apps before buying.
Connectivity and Additional Features
5G SA/NSA, 4G LTE, dual Nano-SIM, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, GPS with multi-constellation support, FM radio, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The side fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, gyro, compass, and virtual proximity sensor complete a full mid-range feature set with nothing important missing.
Variants, Colours and Availability
Sold as 6GB+128GB and 8GB+128GB in Black, White, Peach, and Light Blue. All units on sale today are used. Naming warning: the Galaxy A23 (4G) is a different phone with a Snapdragon 680 chip, no 5G, and a 90Hz display. The 5G model (SM-A236B) is the faster, smoother, better-connected phone — verify the '5G' branding and model number before paying.
Price in Pakistan and PTA Information
The store-listed price is Rs. 50,000 at Zohaan Mobile Gallery (verified 2026-10-11) for a used unit. For a Snapdragon 695 phone with a 120Hz display and OIS camera, that is competitive — provided the unit is clean, the battery is healthy, and the PTA status is verified. PTA: PTA approval applies per device and IMEI, not per model. Before paying, send the phone's IMEI to 8484 and confirm 'Compliant' status. How to check PTA approval.
Main Advantages and Limitations
Advantages:

- 6.6-inch 120Hz display — the smoothest screen in this used price band
- 50MP main camera with OIS for steadier photos and video
- Real 5G connectivity

Limitations:
- LCD display, not AMOLED — contrast trails Samsung's AMOLED models

- 8MP front camera is mediocre
- 25W charging is average for the class
- Used batteries are aging — verify drain before buying
- Easily confused with the slower 4G Galaxy A23
Who Should Consider This Phone?
Good fit: buyers who want the fastest used Samsung 5G phone around Rs. 50,000 — smooth 120Hz display, capable Snapdragon performance for gaming, and a stabilised main camera, all in one package.
Look elsewhere if: AMOLED contrast is non-negotiable for you, or you need years of future updates — then consider newer models in the Samsung collection or newer used options.

The Galaxy A23 5G remains the performance pick among used Samsung 5G phones near Rs. 50,000: Snapdragon 695 speed, a 120Hz display, and an OIS camera in one package. The LCD screen and closed update window are the honest caveats — but for buyers who prioritise speed and smoothness, nothing else used at this price keeps up.
