Realme GT 5G — Full Specifications, Features & Price in Pakistan

The Realme GT 5G, announced in March 2021, is the phone that started the entire GT series: Realme's first flagship killer, built around the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888, a 120Hz Super AMOLED display, and 65W SuperDart fast charging. It undercut rival flagships by a wide margin and put Realme on the premium-performance map. Five years later the GT 5G is long discontinued, and because it never launched officially in Pakistan, every unit sold here is an import or a pre-owned device. This guide covers its verified specifications, how they hold up in 2026, and exactly what to check before buying one used.

Design and Build Quality

By today's standards the GT 5G is compact: 158.5 mm tall and 186 grams, with a 6.43-inch screen that sits comfortably in one hand. Realme sold it in several finishes — blue, silver, and a gold/black gradient in glass, plus a distinctive Racing Yellow eco-leather edition that also shipped with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The plastic frame and lack of an IP rating were the clear cost-cutting choices, but the under-display fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, and a rare-in-2021 3.5mm headphone jack rounded out a generous package.

Display Features

The 6.43-inch Super AMOLED panel runs at 120Hz with HDR10+ support and FHD+ resolution — in 2021 that was flagship-class. It is a flat panel, which many gamers and one-handed users prefer. Brightness and colour tuning were well regarded at launch, though a 2026 buyer should expect a display whose peak brightness is well below today's 2000-nit-plus panels, and should check any used unit for burn-in or uneven brightness.

Processor and Performance

The Snapdragon 888 (5 nm) was Qualcomm's flagship chip of 2021: one Cortex-X1 prime core at 2.84 GHz, three Cortex-A78, four Cortex-A55, with the Adreno 660 GPU. In 2026 it remains competent for daily use, social media, and even mid-tier gaming, but it is known for running hot under sustained load — this chip's thermal reputation is well documented. Buyers choosing a used GT 5G for PUBG Mobile or Genshin Impact should keep expectations realistic and test extended gaming sessions before paying.

RAM and Storage

Two configurations exist globally: 8GB + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB, both with UFS 3.1 storage. There is no microSD expansion, so pick the storage size with your actual usage in mind — a used 128GB unit fills up quickly with 4K video and offline maps.

Camera Features

The triple camera is headlined by a 64MP main sensor (Sony IMX682, f/1.8 with PDAF), joined by an 8MP 119-degree ultrawide and a token 2MP macro. There is no optical image stabilisation and no telephoto, which were the compromises of the era's flagship killers. It records 4K video at up to 60fps with gyro-EIS. The 16MP front camera handles video calls and selfies at 1080p. Daylight photos are respectable; night and zoom performance trail modern flagships by a clear margin.

Battery and Charging

A 4,500mAh battery paired with 65W SuperDart charging was one of the phone's signature features — a full charge in roughly 35 minutes by Realme's advertised figures. On a five-year-old used device, however, battery health is the number-one concern: lithium batteries degrade, and a heavy prior user may have cut real-world endurance noticeably. Always check battery health and charging speed on the actual handset before buying.

Software and Updates

The GT 5G launched with Android 11 and Realme UI 2.0, and Realme's documented upgrade path reached Android 14 with Realme UI 5.0. Security updates have ended for this model, which is an important caveat in 2026 — a phone past its security-support window should not be your primary banking device without extra caution.

Connectivity and Additional Features

Full 5G support (SA/NSA with common Pakistani-relevant bands including n41, n77, n78), Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 with aptX HD, NFC for contactless payments, dual-band A-GPS, and USB Type-C 2.0. The 3.5mm jack and stereo speakers with Hi-Res audio certification are bonuses today's flagships have dropped.

Variants, Colours and Availability

8GB + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB variants in Blue, Silver, Gold/Black glass finishes and Racing Yellow eco leather. The GT 5G launched in China, India, and Europe but was never sold officially in Pakistan. It was discontinued years ago, so every Pakistani unit is either an import or a used device — never a brand-new locally warranted phone.

Price in Pakistan and PTA Information

The Zohaan Mobile Gallery product page lists the Realme GT 5G at Rs. 69,999, verified live on 2026-10-11. Because there was never an official Pakistan launch, units are import-tier: treat any price as a used/import-market figure rather than an official retail price, and confirm the exact unit's price and condition with the store before buying.

PTA: PTA approval is per device and IMEI, not per model. Before paying, send the phone's IMEI by SMS to 8484 and confirm "Compliant" status. Imported units may need PTA tax paid — factor that into the total cost. See how to check PTA approval.

Main Advantages and Limitations

• Snapdragon 888 still delivers smooth daily performance at a low used price
• 120Hz Super AMOLED display with HDR10+
• 65W fast charging — rare at this used price
• Stereo speakers plus a 3.5mm headphone jack
• Compact, light body (186 g) by 2026 standards

Limitations:

• Security updates have ended — not ideal for banking apps
• No OIS, no telephoto, modest cameras by current standards
• Snapdragon 888 runs hot under sustained gaming
• 4,500mAh battery may be degraded on used units
• No official IP rating; no microSD expansion

Who Should Consider This Phone?

Good fit: buyers who want a cheap secondary phone, a compact device, or a first 5G handset under Rs. 70,000 and understand what a five-year-old flagship means.

Look elsewhere if: you need long software support, strong cameras, or a primary phone for mobile banking — a newer mid-ranger in the all mobiles collection is the safer bet.

Final Verdict

The Realme GT 5G is a 2021 flagship killer living out its second life: Snapdragon 888, 120Hz AMOLED, and 65W charging for under Rs. 70,000 is genuinely good hardware value — provided you accept the trade-offs of a discontinued phone with no security updates, an aging battery, and modest cameras. Buy it as a backup or budget gaming phone, check the battery and IMEI carefully, and don't pay new-phone money for it.
