Design and Build Quality

The 9i's Prism Black and Prism Blue finishes use a light-refracting pattern that looks more expensive than it is. The glass front with plastic frame and back keeps it at 190g. Dragontrail Pro Glass protects the display. It's a handsome budget phone, though the plastic frame picks up scratches — a case is advisable.

Display Features

The 6.6-inch IPS LCD delivers 1080 x 2412 resolution (~400 ppi) with a 90Hz refresh rate — sharp and smooth, a combination many budget rivals couldn't match. Colours are good for an LCD, though blacks can't match AMOLED. For video, gaming, and scrolling at this price, the display is a genuine strength.

Processor and Performance

The Snapdragon 680 (6nm) is an efficient, cool-running chip that handles everyday use — social apps, video, multitasking — smoothly. Light gaming (PUBG Mobile at balanced settings, Free Fire) is playable; heavy 3D titles need low settings. The 6nm process gives it a real efficiency edge over older 12nm budget chips, which shows in battery life.

RAM and Storage

Configurations include 4GB/64GB, 4GB/128GB, and 6GB/128GB (the Rs. 37,999 listing), all with UFS 2.1 storage and a dedicated microSD slot. The 6GB version is noticeably smoother for multitasking and worth the premium over 4GB in 2026.

Camera Features

The 50MP main camera (f/1.8, PDAF) produces good daylight shots with natural colours — Realme's processing is less aggressive than some rivals'. The 2MP macro and 2MP depth sensors are filler; there's no ultrawide. The 16MP front camera takes solid selfies. Night mode exists but results are average. Overall: a good daylight camera for the price, unremarkable after dark.

Battery and Charging

The 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging is a highlight — a full day and more of use, and 33W refills roughly half the battery in about half an hour (per Realme's launch claims). That charging speed still beats many 2026 budget phones stuck at 18W. No wireless charging.

Software and Updates

The 9i launched on Android 11 with Realme UI 2.0. Realme's official long-term update commitment for this specific model was not confirmed in the checked sources, and as a 2022 model its support window is largely behind it. Check the software version and security-patch date on the unit before buying.

Connectivity and Additional Features

4G LTE with dual nano-SIM, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, USB-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. There is no NFC on the 9i (some aggregator listings say otherwise — the spec sheets checked list none), so contactless payments aren't supported. Stereo speakers are reported in secondary listings but were not confirmed in the primary spec sheet — treat as unconfirmed. Side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Variants, Colours and Availability

Variants: 4GB/64GB, 4GB/128GB, 6GB/128GB. Do not confuse the 9i with the Realme 9 Pro (5G, 120Hz, different chip) or Realme 9 Pro+ — they are different phones at different prices. Colours: Prism Black, Prism Blue. As a 2022 model, the market is a mix of old stock and used units.

Price in Pakistan and PTA Information

WhatMobile lists the 6GB + 128GB variant at Rs. 37,999 (verified 2026-10-11). Other aggregators show higher or older figures for different variants — always confirm the exact variant and latest price with Zohaan Mobile Gallery before buying.
