Realme 5 Pro — Full Specifications, Features & Price in Pakistan

Introduction

Launched in August 2019, the Realme 5 Pro was Realme's first 48MP quad-camera phone: a Snapdragon 712 chip, a 48MP Sony IMX586 main camera, a 6.3-inch FHD+ display and 20W VOOC 3.0 fast charging — from INR 13,999 in India.

Discontinued and available only used today, the 5 Pro is arguably the best-balanced second-hand buy in this entire slice: the sharpest display, the best main camera and the fastest charging of the 5 series. This guide covers its verified specifications and what to check before buying used in Pakistan.

Design and Build Quality

The 5 Pro's plastic back used a holographic finish with a nano-mirror texture technique, in Crystal Green and Crystal Blue. At 157 x 74.2 x 8.9 mm and 184 grams it was slimmer than the standard Realme 5, and splash resistance protected against light rain.

The step up to USB Type-C was a meaningful modernisation over the micro-USB on the standard Realme 5 — and it matters for used buyers in 2026, since USB-C cables and chargers are now universal.

Display Features

The 6.3-inch IPS LCD offers a full-HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels at 19.5:9 (about 409 ppi), with a dewdrop notch, a claimed 90.6% screen-to-body ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 3+ protection.

This is the sharpest display in the Realme 5 family and one of the 5 Pro's biggest advantages over the standard 5 and 5i: text is crisp, video looks clean, and the panel holds up well even by later standards.

Processor and Performance

The Snapdragon 712 is a 10nm octa-core chip (two Kryo 360 Gold cores at 2.3GHz plus six Kryo 360 Silver at 1.7GHz) with an Adreno 616 GPU — a higher-clocked refinement of the Snapdragon 710. Realme added HyperBoost 2.0 with TouchBoost and FrameBoost for smoother gaming.

It is the fastest chip in the Realme 5 series and, alongside the 3 Pro's 710, the strongest performer in this slice. Everyday apps and popular games run well; only the most demanding modern titles will strain it.

RAM and Storage

Three variants: 4GB + 64GB, 6GB + 64GB and 8GB + 128GB, with UFS 2.1 storage — faster than the eMMC storage in cheaper siblings — and a dedicated microSD slot up to 256GB. The 6GB and 8GB variants are the smart used picks.

Camera Features

The quad camera is headlined by the 48MP Sony IMX586 (f/1.79, 1/2-inch, PDAF, EIS), joined by an 8MP ultra-wide (119°, f/2.25), a 2MP macro (4cm focus) and a 2MP depth sensor. Video includes 4K at 30fps, 1080p at up to 120fps and 720p super slow motion at 960fps.

The front camera is a 16MP Sony IMX471 (f/2.0) with 4-in-1 pixel technology — the same sensor as the Realme X. The 48MP main camera with EIS was a genuine class leader in 2019 and remains the best camera hardware in this slice; daylight detail and stabilised video are its strengths.

Battery and Charging

The 4,035mAh battery supports 20W VOOC 3.0 fast charging with the compatible charger in the box — Realme claimed up to 55% charge in 30 minutes. That is twice as fast as the standard Realme 5's 10W charging and a major practical advantage.

Battery capacity is smaller than the 5,000mAh in the standard 5/5i, so the 5 Pro trades endurance for speed: it charges far faster but needs the charger sooner. On a 7-year-old used unit, test real drain and confirm the VOOC charger is included.

Software and Updates

The 5 Pro launched with Android 9 Pie and ColorOS 6, with an upgrade path to Android 10 and Realme UI. Official support ended years ago, so no recent security patches.

Android 10 keeps app compatibility better than the Android 8/9 phones in this group, but the lack of ongoing patches means it should not be the primary phone for banking or sensitive accounts.

Connectivity and Additional Features

Dual 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/GLONASS/Galileo/Beidou, USB Type-C with OTG, FM radio and a 3.5mm jack. No NFC, no 5G. Rear fingerprint sensor and face unlock included.

Variants, Colours and Availability

Variants: 4GB + 64GB, 6GB + 64GB and 8GB + 128GB in Crystal Green and Crystal Blue. Discontinued — in Pakistan it is available only used, with price set by variant and condition.

Price in Pakistan and PTA Information

No verified current Pakistan price is available for the Realme 5 Pro. It launched in India at INR 13,999 (4GB + 64GB), INR 14,999 (6GB + 64GB) and INR 16,999 (8GB + 128GB) in August 2019 — historical pricing only. The older catalog figure of Rs. 32,999 comes from the stale 1 October 2026 import and must not be treated as current. Used prices vary — confirm with Zohaan Mobile Gallery.

Who Should Consider This Phone?

The Realme 5 Pro is the pick of the 5 series for used buyers who want the best cameras, the sharpest screen and the fastest charging: photography enthusiasts on a tight budget, or anyone wanting a capable backup phone. The 6GB and 8GB variants offer the best balance.

Choose the standard Realme 5 instead if battery endurance matters more than camera quality or charging speed — its 5,000mAh cell lasts noticeably longer. Skip both if you need current security updates for banking apps.

The Realme 5 Pro was the complete package of 2019's upper-budget segment, and it still is on the used market: 48MP Sony camera with EIS, sharp FHD+ display, Snapdragon 712, 20W VOOC charging over USB-C, and up to 8GB/128GB. Its only real trade-off against the standard Realme 5 is the smaller battery.
