Realme 12+ 5G — Full Specifications, Features & Price in Pakistan

Introduction

Realme's 12-series naming is confusing, so let's be precise: the Realme 12+ 5G is a different phone from the Realme 12 4G and the Realme 12x 5G. Launched globally in March 2024 and brought to Pakistan alongside the 12 4G, the 12+ 5G is the 5G-ready mainstream pick of the trio — a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset, a flat 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED display, a 50MP Sony camera with optical stabilisation and 67W charging. This guide documents its verified specifications, explains exactly how it differs from its confusingly named siblings, and covers Pakistan pricing and PTA checks.

Key Specifications at a Glance

Design and Build Quality

The 12+ 5G shares the number series' premium-textured rear with a polished watch-inspired finish, but unlike its Pro siblings it uses a flat display — a deliberate choice many buyers prefer, since flat screens take screen protectors easily and avoid accidental edge touches. At 163 x 75.5 x 7.9 mm and 190 g it is comfortable to hold for long sessions. IP54 sealing covers dust and splashes. The two colourways, Pioneer Green and Navigator Beige, both carry the textured finish that resists fingerprints better than plain glass.

Display Features

The 6.7-inch AMOLED panel renders 1080 x 2400 pixels at 120Hz with HDR10+ support. Brightness is rated at 600 nits typical with a 2000-nit peak, so outdoor visibility in strong sunlight is genuinely good — a step above the 12 Pro's panel in peak brightness. Colours are vivid with deep AMOLED blacks, and the flat panel means standard tempered glass fits perfectly. For streaming, gaming and reading, this is one of the better displays in its price band, and the flat-versus-curved choice is purely a matter of taste: flat is more practical, curved looks more premium.

Processor and Performance

The Dimensity 7050 is a 6 nm chip with two 2.6 GHz Cortex-A78 performance cores and six 2.0 GHz Cortex-A55 efficiency cores, paired with Mali-G68 MC4 graphics. It is essentially a refined Dimensity 1080-class platform: quick in daily use, smooth in multitasking and capable of popular games at medium-to-high settings. It sits between the Snapdragon 685 (Realme 12 4G) and the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 (12 Pro+) in real-world grunt — closer to the former in efficiency, with the important addition of an integrated 5G modem. For buyers who want 5G readiness without paying Pro-series money, this is the sensible chipset pick in Realme's 2024 lineup.

RAM and Storage

The standard configuration is 8GB of RAM with 128GB or 256GB of storage; a 12GB RAM option appears in some markets. There is no dedicated microSD slot on most listings — the hybrid SIM tray's second slot is the point of contention between sources, so buyers who need expandable storage should verify on the actual unit. With no card slot guaranteed, the 256GB variant is the safer choice for photo and video hoarders. 8GB of RAM handles heavy multitasking well, and Realme UI's RAM expansion can borrow storage as virtual memory when needed.

Camera Features

The 50MP Sony LYT-600 main sensor (f/1.9, 1/1.95-inch) with optical stabilisation is the same proven unit found in the Realme 12 4G and 13 series — sharp daylight shots, dependable night-mode performance and steadier handheld video than non-OIS rivals. It is joined by an 8MP ultrawide (112-degree field of view) for landscapes and group shots, plus a 2MP macro for close-ups. Video reaches 4K at 30fps with gyro-based stabilisation, and 1080p at 60fps is available for smoother motion. The 16MP front camera covers selfies and video calls. There is no telephoto lens — zoom beyond 2x is digital — so buyers who want real optical reach should look at the 12 Pro or 12 Pro+.

Battery and Charging

The 5000mAh battery is a full-day performer, and the efficient 6 nm Dimensity platform helps it go the distance even with the 120Hz display active. 67W SUPERVOOC wired charging refills the battery quickly — expect roughly half a charge in under half an hour based on Realme's charging curve for this platform. There is no wireless charging. Paired with the flat AMOLED's adaptive refresh behaviour, endurance is a non-issue for typical Pakistani usage patterns of commuting, social media and streaming.

Software and Updates

Android 14 with Realme UI 5.0 ships on the 12+ 5G, bringing the usual Realme refinements: deep theming, a smart sidebar, floating windows and granular privacy controls. Realme has not published a verifiable long-term update pledge for this model, so treat future Android upgrades as unconfirmed and check the software version on the unit you buy.

Connectivity and Additional Features

Full 5G (SA/NSA) support headlines the connectivity sheet, with 4G LTE bands covering Pakistani carriers and dual Nano-SIM standby. Wi-Fi 6 runs on dual bands for faster home networking, Bluetooth is 5.2 with A2DP and LE, and NFC is listed as present — handy for the future of contactless payments. Positioning covers GPS, GLONASS, BDS, GALILEO and QZSS. The under-display optical fingerprint sensor is fast and reliable, dual stereo speakers carry Hi-Res certification, and USB is Type-C 2.0. Whether the hybrid tray's second slot accepts a microSD card varies by source — confirm before buying if it matters to you.

Variants, Colours and Availability

The core configurations are 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB in Pioneer Green or Navigator Beige, with 12GB RAM appearing in some markets. The 12+ 5G arrived in Pakistan as part of the number series' mid-2024 return alongside the 12 4G. Do not confuse it with the Realme 12 4G (Snapdragon 685, no 5G, different camera tuning), the Realme 12x 5G (Dimensity 6100+, HD+ LCD, budget tier) or the 12 Pro / 12 Pro+ (curved displays, telephoto cameras, higher prices) — five different phones share the "12" name.

Price in Pakistan and PTA Information

WhatMobile lists the Realme 12+ 5G at Rs. 79,999, and Zohaan Mobile Gallery lists it at Rs. 79,999 on its live product page (both verified 2026-10-11); online retailers have discounted the 8GB/256GB unit to the same figure. Launch-period reporting mentioned PKR 75,000, but the context was unclear, so treat Rs. 79,999 as the current asking price and confirm with the store. PTA status is per-device and per-IMEI even for officially sold models: verify via the PTA 8484 SMS service or DIRBS portal and confirm whether the quoted price includes PTA approval.
