Oppo Find X5 — Price in Pakistan, Full Specifications & Honest Review

Oppo Find X5: Overview

The Oppo Find X5 is the 2022 "standard" flagship between the mid-range X5 Lite and the ceramic X5 Pro. Launched globally in February 2022, it pairs the Snapdragon 888 with Oppo's MariSilicon X imaging NPU, Hasselblad colour tuning, and 80W SuperVOOC charging — bringing most of the Pro's camera intelligence to a lower price. In 2026 it is a used-market sweet spot: genuine flagship cameras and build at a fraction of original cost. This guide covers its complete specifications, how it differs from its X5 siblings, and what Pakistani buyers should verify.

Design and Build Quality

Unlike the ceramic Pro, the standard X5 uses a glass back in Black, White, and Purple, with the same flowing camera housing design but a less sculpted transition. It measures 160.3 x 72.6 x 8.7 mm and weighs 196g — noticeably lighter than the 218g Pro. Water resistance is IP54 (splash-proof) rather than the Pro's IP68 — the biggest build compromise. On a used unit, inspect the glass back and camera housing join for cracks, and check the frame for dents hinting at drops that could affect camera alignment.

Display

The 6.55-inch AMOLED runs at Full HD+ (2400 x 1080) with 120Hz, 10-bit colour, HDR10+, and around 1000 nits peak brightness — a flat, high-quality panel, but a step below the Pro's QHD+ LTPO screen in resolution and adaptive refresh. Most buyers will not notice the difference outside very close reading. When buying used, check for burn-in and dead pixels on solid colours, and confirm 120Hz mode actually engages — a failing display driver can silently lock to 60Hz.

Performance and Chipset

The naming trap: the Find X5 runs the Snapdragon 888, not the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 — that chip is exclusive to the X5 Pro. With 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1, the X5 performs like a 2021 flagship: fast in apps and games, but with the 888's known tendency to run warm under sustained load. The MariSilicon X NPU assists imaging, not general compute. On a used unit, game or record 4K video for ten minutes and watch for throttling or excessive heat.

Camera System

Cameras are the X5's strongest argument: essentially the Pro's hardware. A 50MP Sony IMX766 wide (f/1.8, OIS), a 50MP IMX766 ultra-wide (f/2.2), and a 13MP telephoto (f/2.4, 5x hybrid zoom), processed by the MariSilicon X NPU with Hasselblad colour calibration — particularly strong in night shots and natural skin tones. The front camera is 32MP (f/2.4); video reaches 4K at 60fps. When buying used, test every lens in photo and video modes and check the ultra-wide matches the main sensor's quality, since they share the IMX766.

Battery and Charging

The 4800mAh battery charges at 80W SuperVOOC wired (full in ~30–35 minutes when new), 30W AirVOOC wireless, and 10W reverse wireless — a clear upgrade over the X3 Pro's 65W. Oppo also advertised improved battery longevity engineering rated for far more charge cycles than average. On a four-year-old used unit, still ask for health data, check for swelling (lifting back glass is a red flag), and confirm the original 80W charger is included — SuperVOOC needs Oppo's proprietary brick and cable.

Software and Updates

The X5 launched with Android 12 and ColorOS 12.1. Oppo's update policy extended through several major Android versions, but as a 2022 device its official support window is now winding down — expect no major new Android versions in 2026. Before buying, verify the installed version, confirm Google Play services run normally (important on imported units), and ensure the phone is factory-reset with no previous owner accounts signed in.

Connectivity and Security

Full connectivity for its class: 5G (SA/NSA), dual nano-SIM, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 with LDAC/aptX HD, NFC, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou/Galileo, and USB Type-C. An in-display fingerprint sensor plus face unlock handles biometrics; stereo speakers cover audio. IP54 means splash and dust protection, not submersion. On a used purchase, test mobile data on your own SIM, both speakers, the fingerprint sensor, and NFC payment readiness.

Variants, RAM and Storage

The X5 was sold as 8GB RAM with 128GB or 256GB storage depending on region; 8GB/256GB is the common used-market configuration, in Black, White, and Purple. No microSD slot. Because the X5, X5 Lite, and X5 Pro share a family name with very different hardware, always match the exact model name and Snapdragon 888 chipset on the box and in Settings → About phone before paying — mislabelled listings are common with this series.

Find X5 vs Find X5 Pro vs Find X5 Lite: Know the Difference

The most mislabelled trio in Oppo's used market. Find X5 (this phone): Snapdragon 888, 6.55" FHD+ 120Hz, IP54, 80W charging. Find X5 Pro: Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, 6.7" QHD+ LTPO, IP68, ceramic body, 50W wireless — the true flagship, priced higher used. Find X5 Lite: Dimensity 900, 6.43" 90Hz, 64MP camera, no IP rating — a mid-range phone wearing the flagship name, cheapest by far. If a "Find X5 Pro" deal looks too cheap, check the chipset: sellers sometimes list the Lite or standard X5 under the Pro name.

Buying a Used Find X5 in Pakistan: What to Check

The X5 is a 2022 phone, so expect used or refurbished units in 2026 and confirm exactly what the seller offers — condition grade, battery health, box and 80W charger, and PTA status. Checklist: verify the IMEI on the PTA DIRBS portal and clarify whether the price includes PTA approval or FBR tax is due; confirm Snapdragon 888 in Settings (not Dimensity 900 — that is the Lite); test all three rear cameras and the 32MP front camera; check the display for burn-in and 120Hz mode; stress-test for 888 heat throttling; verify the fingerprint sensor, NFC, and speakers. PTA note: approval is per-device IMEI — see what PTA approval means and how to check an IMEI.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Find X5 the same as the Find X5 Pro?

No. The standard X5 has the Snapdragon 888, 6.55-inch FHD+ display, and IP54; the Pro has the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, 6.7-inch QHD+ LTPO display, IP68, and ceramic body. Cameras are very similar, but the Pro is the true flagship and costs more used.

What chipset does the Find X5 have?

The Snapdragon 888 (5nm) with Adreno 660, 8GB RAM, and 256GB storage. Not the Dimensity 900 (X5 Lite) or Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 (X5 Pro).

What is the Find X5 price in Pakistan?

No verified current price as of 2026-10-11. It trades used; price depends on condition, battery health, accessories, and PTA approval. Confirm the latest price with Zohaan Mobile Gallery on WhatsApp.

Does the Find X5 have the MariSilicon X chip?

Yes — the same imaging NPU with Hasselblad colour tuning as the X5 Pro, which is why its cameras outperform its used price.

Is the Find X5 PTA approved?

Approval is per device and IMEI. Check the unit's IMEI on the PTA DIRBS portal; non-approved units need FBR tax for full local SIM use.

Is the Find X5 waterproof?

It is IP54 rated — splash and dust protection, not submersion. Do not take it swimming; only the X5 Pro's IP68 is fully water-resistant here.

Should I buy the Find X5 or the Find X5 Lite?

The standard X5 is far better: Snapdragon 888 vs Dimensity 900, flagship IMX766 cameras vs a 64MP mid-range setup, 80W vs 65W charging. The Lite only makes sense if your budget cannot stretch.
