Oppo Find X5 Pro — Price in Pakistan, Full Specifications & Honest Review

Oppo Find X5 Pro: Overview

The Oppo Find X5 Pro was Oppo's true 2022 flagship — the one with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, the ceramic unibody, and the full IP68 rating. Launched globally in February 2022 with the X5 and X5 Lite, it wrapped the X5's camera system in genuinely premium hardware with 50W wireless charging. In 2026 it remains one of the most luxurious-feeling used phones you can buy. This guide covers its complete specifications, how to tell it apart from its cheaper siblings, and what to verify before buying used in Pakistan.

Design and Build Quality

The X5 Pro's defining trait is its ceramic back — Ceramic Black, Ceramic White, and a Blue eco-leather option — flowing into the camera housing in one sculpted piece. It measures 163.7 x 73.9 x 8.5 mm, weighs a substantial 218g, and carries a full IP68 rating. Ceramic resists scratches better than glass but can crack on hard impacts. On a used unit, inspect for hairline cracks around the camera housing curve and confirm the seals were not compromised by a previous screen or battery replacement.

Display

The 6.7-inch QHD+ (3216 x 1440) LTPO2 AMOLED is the best screen in the X5 family: adaptive 1–120Hz, 10-bit colour, HDR10+, around 1300 nits peak, and 525 PPI. It is the panel that makes the Pro feel like a true flagship next to the standard X5's FHD+ screen. When buying used, examine the curved edges for cracks, test for burn-in on grey backgrounds, and confirm adaptive refresh actually drops on static content — a stuck 120Hz can signal display issues and drains battery.

Performance and Chipset

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 with 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 was the top Android chip of early 2022, and it remains capable for apps, multitasking, and gaming in 2026 — though it shares the era's reputation for running hot under sustained load. Verify in Settings → About phone that the chip reads Snapdragon 8 Gen 1: a China-market Dimensity 9000 variant exists without the MariSilicon X imaging chip. Stress-test any used unit for throttling before paying.

Camera System

The camera hardware mirrors the standard X5 — 50MP Sony IMX766 wide (f/1.8, OIS), 50MP IMX766 ultra-wide (f/2.2), 13MP telephoto (f/2.4, 5x hybrid zoom) — with the MariSilicon X NPU and Hasselblad colour science on stronger processing headroom. Night photography, 4K video, and natural colour rendering were class-leading in 2022 and remain strong in 2026; the 32MP front camera covers selfies. On a used phone, test all three rear lenses day and night, check for lens haze or internal dust, and confirm OIS engages — a non-stabilised main camera suggests a damaged module.

Battery and Charging

The 5000mAh battery was the largest in the X5 family: 80W SuperVOOC wired (about 50% in 12 minutes), 50W AirVOOC wireless (full in under 50 minutes on Oppo's pad), and 10W reverse wireless. Oppo engineered the cell for extended lifespan, rating it for roughly double the industry-average charge cycles. Even so, check health on a 2022 used unit, watch for fast drain during camera testing, and confirm the 80W charger is in the box — SuperVOOC needs Oppo's own brick and cable.

Software and Updates

Launched with Android 12 and ColorOS 12.1, the X5 Pro received Oppo's multi-year update commitment, but as a 2022 flagship its official support window is now winding down — expect no major new Android versions in 2026. Check the installed version and security patch date on the actual unit, confirm Google services and the Play Store work (especially on the China-market Dimensity variant), and ensure a clean factory reset with no prior owner accounts.

Connectivity and Security

Full flagship spec: 5G (SA/NSA), dual nano-SIM, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 with LDAC/aptX HD, dual-antenna NFC, comprehensive GNSS, and USB Type-C. The in-display fingerprint sensor and face unlock handle biometrics; stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos cover audio. On a used purchase, test your own SIM for data and calls, verify NFC, both speakers, and the fingerprint sensor — and on imported units confirm 5G bands match your carrier.

Variants, RAM and Storage

Global units were 12GB RAM with 256GB storage (12GB/512GB in some markets), in Ceramic Black, Ceramic White, and Blue eco-leather. The China-only Dimensity 9000 edition lacks MariSilicon X — check the chipset in Settings on imported units and ask the seller which version it is. No microSD slot. As with this whole family, match "Find X5 Pro" and Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 in About phone; a Dimensity 900 or 888 reading means you are being shown the Lite or standard X5.

Find X5 Pro vs Find X5: Is the Pro Worth the Premium Used?

Used, the Pro typically costs more than the standard X5 — here is what the premium buys. X5 Pro: Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, 6.7" QHD+ LTPO, ceramic body, IP68, 50W wireless, 5000mAh. X5: Snapdragon 888, 6.55" FHD+, glass body, IP54, 30W wireless, 4800mAh. Cameras are near-identical (same sensors, same MariSilicon X). If the used price gap is modest, the Pro's sharper display, water resistance, and ceramic feel make it the better long-term phone; if cameras are all you care about, the standard X5 delivers ~95% of the imaging for less.

Buying a Used Find X5 Pro in Pakistan: What to Check

The X5 Pro is a 2022 flagship — buy it as a used phone and confirm exactly what the seller offers: condition grade, battery health, box with 80W charger, and PTA status. Never accept "brand new, box packed" wording for a 2022 model. Checklist: verify the IMEI on the PTA DIRBS portal and clarify PTA tax status; confirm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 (not Dimensity 9000/900 or 888) in Settings; inspect the ceramic body for hairline cracks; test all cameras day and night, checking OIS; check the LTPO display for burn-in; stress-test for 8 Gen 1 heat throttling; confirm factory reset and no prior accounts. PTA note: approval is per-device IMEI — see what PTA approval means and how to check an IMEI.

Find X5 Pro vs Find X5 — what is the difference?

The Pro has Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 (vs 888), 6.7-inch QHD+ LTPO display (vs 6.55-inch FHD+), ceramic body (vs glass), IP68 (vs IP54), 50W wireless (vs 30W), and 5000mAh (vs 4800mAh). Cameras are essentially the same.

Is the Find X5 Pro waterproof?

Yes — IP68 rated, unlike the standard X5's IP54. Water damage is still not covered by any warranty, and seals degrade after repairs.

Does the Find X5 Pro have wireless charging?

Yes — 50W AirVOOC wireless, plus 80W SuperVOOC wired and 10W reverse wireless. Full speeds need Oppo's proprietary chargers.

Is there a Dimensity version of the Find X5 Pro?

Yes — a Dimensity 9000 edition sold only in China, lacking the MariSilicon X chip. Verify the chipset in Settings → About phone on imported units.

Is the Find X5 Pro PTA approved?

Approval is per device and IMEI. Verify the unit's IMEI on the PTA DIRBS portal; non-approved units need FBR tax for full local SIM use.

Is the Find X5 Pro still worth buying in 2026?

As a used phone at the right price, yes — display, cameras, ceramic build, and IP68 still feel premium. Check battery health and ceramic condition, and only pay the Pro premium if both are excellent.
