Nokia 2720 Flip — Full Specifications, Features & Price in Pakistan

Let us be clear upfront: the Nokia 2720 Flip is not a smartphone. It is a modern 4G flip phone running KaiOS — built for calls, texts, FM radio, and weeks of standby, with physical keys and a clamshell design. If that is what you need — a simple, tough secondary phone or a first phone for an elder — it is one of the best-made options of its kind. This guide lists its verified specifications honestly, with no smartphone claims attached.

Key Specifications at a Glance

Design and Build Quality

The 2720 Flip is a classic clamshell: 54.5 x 104.8 x 18.7 mm when closed, opening to 54.5 x 192.7 x 11.6 mm, weighing just 118 g. It was sold in Ocean Black and Grey. The flip mechanism answers and ends calls naturally, and closing it protects the keys and screen in a pocket or bag. Build quality is solid Nokia-style plastic — this is a phone designed to be dropped, not babied.

Display Features

There are two screens: a 2.8-inch QVGA main display inside for menus, messages, and calls, and a 1.3-inch external display (240 x 240 pixels) on the outside that shows the time, incoming caller ID, and notifications without opening the phone. Neither is a touchscreen — navigation is via the keypad and D-pad. Set expectations accordingly: these are functional displays, not media screens.

Processor and Performance

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 205 is a basic chip designed for feature phones — it runs KaiOS, handles calls, texts, contacts, and the built-in apps smoothly enough. Do not compare it to smartphone processors: there is no multitasking, no app store as you know it, and no gaming beyond simple built-in games. Performance is 'does its simple job reliably', nothing more.

RAM and Storage

512MB of RAM and 4GB of built-in storage, expandable via microSD up to 32GB. That sounds tiny, but KaiOS and its apps are tiny too — 4GB covers contacts, messages, and basic apps, while the microSD slot holds music and photos from the 2MP camera.

Camera Features

A single 2MP rear camera with LED flash, recording video at 320p and 15fps. It takes basic snapshots — enough to capture a document, a whiteboard, or a quick memory, but not much more. There is no front camera, so no selfies and no video calls. The LED flash doubles as a torch, which is genuinely useful.

Battery and Charging

The 1,500mAh battery is removable — a rarity in 2026 and a real plus, since you can carry a spare or replace a worn cell cheaply. Nokia rates it for up to 18 days of standby and up to 10.9 hours of talk time. Real-world results are lower with 4G data and Wi-Fi active, but even so, this phone measures battery life in days, not hours. Charging is over microUSB 2.0 at standard speed. No wireless charging.

Software: KaiOS, Not Android

The 2720 Flip runs KaiOS, a lightweight system for feature phones with basic built-in apps (calls, SMS, contacts, FM radio, simple browser functions per the spec sheet, voice assistant, organizer). It is not Android: you cannot install the Google Play Store or standard Android apps. App availability on KaiOS has changed over the years, so if a specific app matters to you, confirm it is available on the unit before buying.

Connectivity and Additional Features

For a feature phone, connectivity is generous: 4G LTE Cat 4 (so it works on modern networks, unlike old 2G-only bar phones), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS with A-GPS and GLONASS, FM radio, microUSB 2.0, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Dual Nano-SIM with dual standby lets you carry two numbers. NFC is not supported.

Variants, Colours and Availability

One configuration — 512MB + 4GB — in Ocean Black and Grey. The 2720 Flip is an older model (announced September 2019), so new boxed stock is scarce; most units in Pakistan are used or old stock. Check the hinge, both displays, and the keypad carefully on any unit, since these are the parts that wear.

Price in Pakistan and PTA Information

No verified current (2026) price exists. WhatMobile lists Rs. 14,499 as its historical retail price — that is a stale listing, not today's market value, and used/old-stock units will differ. Confirm the current price with Zohaan Mobile Gallery before buying.

PTA: feature phones need PTA-compliant IMEIs too — a non-compliant phone will lose network access regardless of how simple it is. Before paying, send the phone's IMEI to 8484 and confirm "Compliant" status. How to check PTA approval.

Main Advantages and Limitations

Advantages:

• 4G LTE on a flip phone — works on modern networks, unlike 2G-only bar phones
• Battery measured in days: up to 18 days rated standby, and the cell is removable
• Physical keys and clamshell — ideal for elders and as a distraction-free second phone
• Dual SIM, FM radio, Bluetooth, GPS, and Wi-Fi — generous for a feature phone
• Tough, simple, and cheap to run

Limitations:

• Not a smartphone — no Play Store, no standard Android apps, no real app ecosystem
• 2MP camera and QVGA displays are extremely basic
• No front camera — no selfies or video calls
• microUSB charging; no NFC
• Old model — mostly used or old stock, so inspect the hinge, screens, and keypad

Who Should Consider This Phone?

Good fit: elders who want big physical keys and simple menus; anyone wanting a distraction-free second phone for calls and texts; buyers in areas with unreliable electricity who need multi-day battery; a backup phone for travel.

Look elsewhere if: you need WhatsApp-style messaging apps, maps navigation, mobile banking, or a camera worth using — those need a smartphone. Browse all mobiles for smartphone options, and read how to buy a used mobile safely before paying.

Final Verdict

The Nokia 2720 Flip is honest about what it is: a well-built 4G flip phone with physical keys, FM radio, and a battery that lasts days — and a removable one at that. It is an excellent choice as a simple phone for calls and texts, a second device, or a gift for an elder. It is a terrible choice if you expect smartphone apps, a usable camera, or internet browsing. Buy it for the first job, never the second.
