iQOO U5e — Full Specifications, Features & Price in Pakistan

Introduction

The iQOO U5e is a budget 5G phone iQOO announced for China in mid-2022, pairing the Dimensity 700 chipset with a 6.51-inch display and a 5000mAh battery. It never launched in Pakistan, so local units are grey-market imports — and its retail release status is disputed. This guide covers its verified specs, reported Pakistan prices and the import checks that matter.

Design and Build Quality

The U5e is a plain, functional budget phone: glass front, plastic frame and back, 164 x 75.8 x 8.3 mm and 193 g — most of the bulk is the 5000mAh battery. Blue and Silver finishes, a side-mounted fingerprint reader doubling as the power button, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. No IP rating, so keep it away from water.

Display Features

The 6.51-inch IPS LCD runs at 720 x 1600 (HD+) resolution with a 20:9 aspect ratio and about 270 pixels per inch. This is a basic panel: colours and contrast are serviceable for calls, messaging, social media and video, but text and fine detail are noticeably less crisp than on a Full HD screen. For a budget 5G phone of its era, the display is acceptable but plainly one of the areas where cost was saved.

Processor and Performance

The Dimensity 700 is a 7 nm octa-core chip (two 2.2 GHz Cortex-A76 performance cores plus six Cortex-A55 efficiency cores) with a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. In real terms it handles everyday tasks — browsing, WhatsApp, YouTube, light multitasking — smoothly, and it includes an integrated 5G modem. It is not a gaming chip: demanding 3D titles need reduced settings, and heavy multitasking is limited by the modest 4 GB / 6 GB RAM options.

RAM and Storage

The U5e was listed in 4 GB and 6 GB RAM configurations, both with 128 GB of UFS 2.1 internal storage. The saving grace is a dedicated microSDXC card slot, so media and offline files can be offloaded to expandable storage — useful because 128 GB fills up quickly with photos and video. There is no higher-RAM variant, so power users who keep dozens of apps open will feel the ceiling of 4–6 GB sooner than on mid-range rivals.

Camera Features

The rear setup is minimal: a 13 MP f/2.2 main camera with PDAF autofocus and a 2 MP macro sensor, recording 1080p video at 30 fps. The 13 MP shooter takes decent daylight photos for the segment, but there is no ultrawide lens, no night-mode hardware advantage and no optical stabilisation — low-light shots will be noisy and soft. The 8 MP f/2.0 front camera covers selfies and video calls at 1080p.

Battery and Charging

A 5000mAh battery is the U5e's strongest hardware asset, easily stretching to two days of light use or a full heavy day. Charging is modest 18 W wired over USB Type-C — a full charge takes a couple of hours, so overnight charging is the practical routine. There is no wireless charging. For buyers who prioritise endurance over speed, the combination of an efficient 7 nm chip and a big cell is the phone's most convincing feature.

Software and Updates

The U5e launched on Android 12 with iQOO's OriginOS Ocean skin. iQOO never published an update commitment for this model, and given its uncertain retail release, buyers should assume it stays on Android 12 with no guaranteed major upgrades.

Connectivity and Additional Features

On networks the U5e is reasonably future-proof for its class: 5G SA/NSA support across bands 1, 5, 8, 28, 41, 77 and 78, plus broad 4G LTE coverage and dual nano-SIM slots. Wi-Fi is dual-band 802.11ac, Bluetooth is 5.1 with aptX HD, and satellite positioning covers GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BDS and QZSS. NFC is absent, so contactless payments are not possible. USB is Type-C 2.0 with OTG support.

Variants, Colours and Availability

Two RAM configurations were listed — 4 GB and 6 GB, both with 128 GB storage — in Blue and Silver. The phone was announced for China in June 2022, and its retail status is disputed: GSMArena lists it as cancelled while some regional press reported a September 2022 launch.

Price in Pakistan and PTA Information

There is no official Pakistan price for the iQOO U5e, and third-party listings disagree sharply. Reported figures span roughly Rs 39,999 (Parhlo) to Rs 64,388 (Technologistan, converted figure checked 2026-09-14), with Bol News at Rs 41,999, mobile-phone.pk at Rs 44,200 and Giznext at Rs 50,547. This wide spread reflects thin, inconsistent grey-market supply rather than a stable market price. Confirm the live price and PTA status with the seller before committing.

iQOO never launched officially in Pakistan, so its phones arrive only as imports or grey-market units with no local warranty. PTA/DIRBS registration is per-device and per-IMEI — always verify the tax and registration status of the exact handset before paying. See our PTA approval guide and IMEI check guide.

• Side-mounted fingerprint reader is fast and reliable

Limitations

• Basic 720p LCD with no high refresh rate

• Uncertain retail release and no official update commitment — likely stuck on Android 12
• No official Pakistan launch, no local warranty, and no NFC

Who Should Consider This Phone?

For buyers wanting the cheapest 5G-capable phone with big-battery endurance who do not care about cameras or displays — e.g. a secondary device. Not for gamers, photographers, or anyone needing updates and warranty.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the price of the iQOO U5e in Pakistan?

There is no official price. Grey-market listings report a wide range from about Rs 39,999 to Rs 64,388 depending on the source and date. Confirm the current price with the seller, and check whether PTA registration is included.

Which processor does the iQOO U5e use?

The verified chipset is the MediaTek Dimensity 700 (7 nm) with a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. Some resellers incorrectly claim the Dimensity 800U; the 800U claim is not supported by spec databases.

Does the iQOO U5e support 5G?

Yes. It supports 5G SA/NSA on bands 1, 5, 8, 28, 41, 77 and 78, plus 4G LTE and dual nano-SIM slots.

What are its RAM and storage options?

4 GB or 6 GB of RAM, both with 128 GB of UFS 2.1 storage, expandable via a microSDXC card slot.

How is the iQOO U5e camera?

Basic: a 13 MP main camera with PDAF plus a 2 MP macro sensor on the back, and an 8 MP front camera. Fine for daylight snapshots and video calls, but there is no ultrawide lens and low-light quality is limited.

What is the battery capacity and charging speed?

5000mAh with 18 W wired charging over USB Type-C. Battery life is a highlight; charging speed is not.

Is the iQOO U5e PTA approved in Pakistan?

The U5e never launched officially here, so PTA/DIRBS registration must be verified per device and per IMEI before purchase.

Final Verdict and Call to Action

The U5e is a curiosity: good battery life and 5G at a budget price, but a basic display, minimal cameras, uncertain retail history and no software future. It works as a cheap secondary device — only at a low price with verified PTA status. Most buyers are safer with an officially launched phone with warranty.
