iQOO Neo 5 — Full Specifications, Features & Price in Pakistan

The iQOO Neo 5 launched in China in March 2021 as the 'flagship killer' sweet spot of its generation: a Snapdragon 870 chip, a 6.62-inch 120Hz AMOLED display and — unusually for the price — a 48MP Sony IMX598 main camera with optical image stabilisation. iQOO never officially launched the Neo 5 in Pakistan, so local units are imported or used-market handsets. This guide covers its verified specifications and what to verify before buying one second-hand.

Key Specifications at a Glance

Design and Build Quality

The Neo 5 uses a 6.62-inch AMOLED panel with a centred punch-hole and an optical in-display fingerprint scanner. The slim body measures 163.2 x 76.4 x 8.4mm at 196g, with a glass front and plastic frame typical of the price class. China-market colours were never officially confirmed in the sources reviewed. The design is clean and understated — no gamer aesthetics — which helps it age gracefully as a used buy.

Display Features

The 6.62-inch 1080 x 2400 AMOLED runs at 120Hz with HDR10+ support and up to 1300 nits peak brightness. Compared with the Neo 3's LCD, the jump in contrast and outdoor visibility is significant. It is not an LTPO panel, so the refresh rate doesn't adapt down to save battery — 120Hz costs you some runtime — but for movies, scrolling and gaming it is a genuinely good screen even by later standards.

Processor and Performance

The Snapdragon 870 (7nm) is essentially a refined Snapdragon 865+ — an octa-core chip up to 3.2 GHz with Adreno 650 graphics. It runs cooler and more efficiently than the Snapdragon 888 of the same era, which is why it became the enthusiast favourite of 2021. With UFS 3.1 storage, the Neo 5 handles everyday use and most games comfortably in 2026; only the heaviest titles need reduced settings.

RAM and Storage

The Neo 5 came in 8GB and 12GB RAM variants with 128GB, 256GB or 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage, and no microSD slot. On the used market, 8GB + 128GB is the common unit — adequate for 2026 use, though 256GB is worth seeking if you store a lot of video or games.

Camera Features

The standout is the 48MP Sony IMX598 main sensor with OIS — optical stabilisation at this price was rare in 2021 and genuinely improves low-light shots and video stability. It is joined by a 13MP ultrawide and a 2MP depth sensor (largely filler), with 4K@30fps video and a 16MP front camera. Daylight and night photos from the main camera hold up well for a used phone at this level; just don't expect the ultrawide to match it.

Battery and Charging

A 4,400mAh battery with 66W fast charging — a full top-up takes well under an hour. The capacity is on the smaller side for a 120Hz phone, so heavy users will charge daily, and used units will have some battery wear. The 66W charging at least makes top-ups quick. No wireless charging.

Software and Updates

The Neo 5 launched on Android 11 with OriginOS, and no official long-term update commitment was found in the reviewed sources. Treat used units as running 2021-era software with limited further updates — acceptable for a budget used buy, but check that your essential apps still support the installed version before paying.

Connectivity and Additional Features

The Neo 5 supports 5G with dual SIM, plus Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, GPS and USB Type-C. The presence of a 3.5mm headphone jack was not officially confirmed in the reviewed sources, so don't assume one — ask the seller or check the unit. As a China-version import, confirm 4G/5G band support for Pakistani carriers on the specific handset.

Variants, Colours and Availability

China variants covered 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB, 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB. The phone was sold in China only and never officially in Pakistan, so all local units are imports or used handsets. Colours, exact variant and PTA status must be confirmed per unit — check the product page or contact the store.

Price in Pakistan and PTA Information

Dated Pakistan estimates put the iQOO Neo 5 around Rs. 84,000 (phoneworld.com.pk, 2021 listing) and Rs. 59,700 (mobile-phone.pk) — old figures, not current market prices. Used Neo 5 units are priced by individual sellers on condition, variant and battery health. Confirm the current price with Zohaan Mobile Gallery before buying.

PTA: Because this is an import-only device, PTA tax/duty applies for use with a Pakistani SIM. PTA approval is per device and IMEI — never assume a unit is compliant. Before paying, send the phone's IMEI by SMS to 8484 and confirm "Compliant" status, and check the applicable tax on the PTA website. How to check PTA approval and what PTA approval means.

Main Advantages and Limitations

Advantages:

• 48MP Sony IMX598 main camera with OIS — rare stabilisation at this level
• Snapdragon 870 — cool, efficient, still capable in 2026
• 6.62-inch 120Hz AMOLED with HDR10+ and 1300 nits peak
• 66W fast charging
• Optical in-display fingerprint scanner

Limitations:

• 4,400mAh battery is modest for a 120Hz phone — and used units have wear
• 13MP ultrawide is fine; 2MP depth sensor is filler
• Android 11-era software with no confirmed update path
• Headphone jack presence not officially confirmed
• Import-only — no official warranty; PTA tax applies on imports

Who Should Consider This Phone?

Good fit: buyers who want a used phone with genuinely good main-camera stabilisation and a smooth AMOLED screen without paying flagship money. Look elsewhere if: you need big battery life or current software — then compare newer used options in the all-mobiles collection.

Final Verdict

The iQOO Neo 5's combination — Snapdragon 870, 120Hz AMOLED and an OIS main camera — made it one of 2021's best value phones, and it still makes sense as a careful used buy. The honest caveats are the modest 4,400mAh battery, 2021-era software and import-only status. Verify battery health, PTA status via 8484 and the exact variant before paying, and it can be a lot of phone for used-market money.
