Design and Build Quality

The iQOO 8 Pro uses a glass-and-metal build at 165 x 75.2 x 9.2 mm and roughly 205 g, with the BMW M Motorsport "Legend" edition adding the brand's signature racing stripes on the rear. The display curves at the edges and carries an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor with a wider recognition area than the optical readers on cheaper models. No official IP dust/water rating was confirmed for this model.

Display Features

The 6.78-inch Samsung E5 LTPO AMOLED panel runs at 1440 x 3200 (QHD+) with a 1-120Hz variable refresh rate, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, and 1500 nits peak brightness. In plain terms: sharp text, adaptive smoothness that saves battery when you are reading static content, and strong outdoor visibility for a 2021 phone. DisplayMate rated this panel highly at launch, though that rating was a manufacturer-era claim rather than an independent test you can re-verify today.

Processor and Performance

The Snapdragon 888+ (5 nm) was Qualcomm's flagship in 2021, clocked up to 2.99 GHz with an Adreno 660 GPU. Paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, it still handles modern apps and games competently, though it is two generations behind today's flagships and runs warmer than newer chips under sustained load. iQOO's gaming software suite (Game Space, 4D vibration, pressure-sensitive touches on some editions) targets mobile gamers first.

RAM and Storage

Configurations run 8GB/256GB, 12GB/256GB, and 12GB/512GB on UFS 3.1 storage — fast even by 2026 standards. There is no microSD slot, so pick the storage tier you need upfront. On the used market in Pakistan, the 8GB + 256GB unit is the most commonly listed configuration.

Camera Features

The triple rear setup is led by a 50MP Sony IMX766V main sensor with 5-axis gimbal stabilization — a Vivo flagship technology that physically steadies the sensor for smoother video and sharper night shots — joined by a 48MP ultrawide and a 16MP portrait/telephoto camera with 2.5x optical zoom. The front camera is 16MP, and video tops out at 8K@30fps on the main sensor. As a 2021 system it is capable, but it cannot match current flagships for night processing or zoom range.

Battery and Charging

The 4,500mAh battery supports 120W wired charging — iQOO claimed a full charge in about 18 minutes — plus 50W wireless and 10W reverse wireless charging. Those charging speeds remain exceptional even now. Note: 120W is a manufacturer-claimed figure, and on used units the effective battery capacity depends on the individual battery's health, which is why inspecting a used phone in person matters.

Software and Updates

The iQOO 8 Pro launched in China on Android 11 with OriginOS. It was never sold through official Pakistani or global channels, so official update support for Pakistan-market units is not documented; used units will typically run whatever OS the previous owner updated to. If long-term software support matters to you, treat this as a limitation and verify the installed software version on the exact unit before buying.

Connectivity and Additional Features

Supports GSM / HSPA / LTE / 5G with dual Nano-SIM, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 (aptX HD/Adaptive), NFC, and USB Type-C. Stereo speakers and an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor round out the package. There is no 3.5mm headphone jack. 5G band support follows the China-market configuration, so confirm band compatibility with your Pakistani carrier's 5G rollout if that matters to you.

Variants, Colours and Availability

China-market variants: 8GB + 256GB, 12GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 512GB, in Black, White (BMW M branding), and Pilot Edition finishes. The iQOO 8 Pro was never officially launched in Pakistan — there is no official PTA-channel distribution and no iQOO brand warranty here. Units in Pakistan are imports or pre-owned, typically found on classified sites and used-phone dealers.

Price in Pakistan and PTA Information

There is no official Pakistan price because the phone was never officially sold here. Pakistan price-tracking sites list widely varying estimates — from about Rs. 117,242 (Phoneworld, 2021-era listing) to roughly Rs. 214,338 (Electrorates, 2026 estimate) — which shows how unreliable these figures are for an import-only flagship. Used-market listings for comparable units have appeared at different prices again. Treat all of these as rough guides only and confirm the actual current price with Zohaan Mobile Gallery before making any decision.

PTA: PTA approval applies per device and IMEI, not per model. Before paying, send the phone's IMEI to 8484 and confirm "Compliant" status. See how to check PTA approval, how to check IMEI, and how to buy a used mobile safely.

Main Advantages and Limitations

Advantages:

• Snapdragon 888+ still delivers strong flagship-level performance for gaming
• 2K LTPO AMOLED display with Dolby Vision — excellent panel for the price on the used market
• 120W wired + 50W wireless charging remains rare even in 2026
• Gimbal-stabilized 50MP main camera for smooth video
• BMW M Motorsport Legend edition has genuine collector appeal

Limitations:

• Never officially launched in Pakistan — import/used only, no brand warranty
• 2021 software with no documented update path for Pakistan-market units
• SD888+ runs warm under sustained load compared with modern chips
• 4,500mAh battery is small by 2026 standards; used batteries may be degraded
• China-market 5G bands — verify compatibility with Pakistani carriers

Who Should Consider This Phone?

Good fit: gamers and performance seekers who want a former flagship — 2K display, SD888+, 120W charging — at a used-market price, and who are comfortable buying an import with per-device PTA verification.

Final Verdict

The iQOO 8 Pro was a genuine 2021 flagship — 2K LTPO display, Snapdragon 888+, gimbal camera, and charging speeds that still impress. In Pakistan it only makes sense as a carefully inspected used buy: no official warranty, dated software, and a small battery by today's standards. If you accept those trade-offs and verify the IMEI and battery health in person, it is strong value for gamers.
