Design and Build Quality

The 12 Pro is the premium expression of the Porthole design: a curved front and back, with the Legend edition's porcelain-enamel white glass and BMW M stripes, the Track's black fluorite AG glass, and a red vegan-leather option. Crucially, the Pro carries IP68 dust and water resistance — full flagship-grade protection, a first for iQOO. At ~210g it feels substantial, and the curved display gives it the in-hand feel of a true ultra-flagship.

Display Features

The 6.78-inch Samsung E7 AMOLED panel runs at 1440 x 3200 with LTPO adaptive refresh up to 144Hz, HDR10+, and a claimed 3000 nits of peak brightness for HDR content. The E7 luminous material is more efficient than the E6 generation, and 1440Hz PWM dimming reduces eye strain at low brightness. Compared with the standard iQOO 12's flat 1.5K panel, this is sharper, more efficient, and more premium — at the cost of curved-glass fragility and trickier screen protectors.

Processor and Performance

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 pairs with the Q1 supercomputing chip for 144fps gaming with frame interpolation and super-resolution, cooled by a large 5,705mm² vapour chamber. This is among the fastest phone hardware of 2023, and it remains overkill for everything except the most demanding sustained gaming — where the cooling system earns its keep. Everyday performance in 2026 is still effortlessly flagship-class.

RAM and Storage

The Pro comes only in 16GB RAM configurations — 16GB + 256GB, 16GB + 512GB, and 16GB + 1TB — with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. There is no 12GB option and no microSD slot, but 16GB of RAM means aggressive multitasking and future-proofing. The 1TB variant is the collector's pick for the used market.

Camera Features

The camera hardware mirrors the standard iQOO 12 — 50MP OV50H main with OIS, 50MP ultra-wide, 64MP periscope telephoto with 3x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom — but the Q1 chip and V-series imaging pipeline tune it for the flagship experience. The periscope delivers genuine 3x optical reach with OIS, a huge step up from the digital-crop telephotos of older iQOOs, and the 50MP ultra-wide doubles as a macro camera. The 16MP front camera is the one modest spec on an otherwise flagship sheet.

Battery and Charging

The 5,100mAh battery — the largest in the 12 series — supports 120W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging. That full charging trinity is rare and genuinely convenient: drop it on a wireless pad at night, or blast it to full in under half an hour when you're in a hurry. iQOO claimed the battery retains 80% capacity after 1,600 cycles, which is reassuring for used buyers.

Software and Updates

Chinese units run OriginOS 4 on Android 14. As a China-only model, it sits outside global update programmes — verify the actual Android version on any used unit and do not expect current security patches. OriginOS 4 is polished and gaming-rich, but imported units carry Chinese-region services. Buyers prioritising long software support should consider globally sold flagships instead.

Connectivity and Additional Features

Dual Nano-SIM with 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, USB-C, an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, and IR blaster. The ultrasonic reader is faster and more reliable than optical alternatives. Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 keep it current, and IP68 means the phone survives rain, splashes, and accidental submersion — the first iQOO you can genuinely take to the pool edge.

Variants, Colours and Availability

Verified variants: 16GB + 256GB, 16GB + 512GB, and 16GB + 1TB. Colours: Legend (BMW M porcelain white), Track (black), and red (vegan leather). Launched in China in November 2023 from CNY 4,999 (historical reference only). It never launched in India, Pakistan, or globally — every Pakistani unit is an import or used device. Position vs the standard 12: curved 2K display, bigger battery, wireless charging, and IP68 — the complete flagship, China-only.
