Design and Build Quality
The Y7p uses a 6.39-inch display with a punch-hole front camera — modern for early 2020 — in a slim 8.1 mm body weighing 176 g, with glass front and plastic back/frame. Huawei sold it in Aurora Blue and Midnight Black. The rear-mounted fingerprint scanner is fast and reliable. On used units, check the punch-hole area and edges for wear.
Display Features
The 6.39-inch IPS LCD runs at 720 x 1560 HD+ resolution (~269 ppi). The punch-hole design looks modern, but HD+ resolution on a 6.39-inch panel is visibly soft next to Full HD phones like the Y7a or Y8p. Brightness and colours are acceptable for everyday use.
Processor and Performance
The Kirin 710F (12 nm, 4 x Cortex-A73 at 2.2 GHz + 4 x Cortex-A53 at 1.7 GHz, Mali-G51 MP4) is a solid mid-range chip from 2020 — noticeably faster than the Snapdragon 450 in the 2019 Y-series. With 4GB of RAM it handles social apps, browsing, and casual gaming comfortably. It won't match 2026 entry-level chips, but for basic-to-moderate use it remains adequate.
RAM and Storage
4GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage — workable, though 64GB fills up with apps and media. The microSD slot supports up to 512GB and is listed as a dedicated slot, so dual-SIM users don't have to sacrifice storage. Clear cached data regularly to keep the 64GB comfortable.
Camera Features
The triple rear camera is headlined by a 48MP main sensor (f/1.8, PDAF, 1/2-inch sensor) with Night Mode, joined by an 8MP ultrawide (120° field of view) for landscapes and a 2MP depth sensor for portraits. The 8MP punch-hole front camera handles selfies. Daylight photos from the 48MP sensor are good for the class; the ultrawide is useful but softer in detail.
Battery and Charging
A 4,000mAh battery with AI power-saving covers a full day of moderate use. Charging is 10W over microUSB — slow by modern standards, and the one spec that feels dated next to the Y7a's 22.5W USB-C charging. No wireless charging. On used units, check battery health.
Software and Updates
Runs Android 9 (Pie) with EMUI 9.1 on Huawei Mobile Services — there is no Google Play Store and no native Google services. Apps come from Huawei AppGallery; popular social apps generally work, but apps requiring Google services (Google Pay, some banking apps, certain games) will not. Verify your essential apps run on HMS before buying. Official updates have ended.
Connectivity and Additional Features
GSM / HSPA / LTE with dual Nano-SIM. Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS with A-GPS/GLONASS, 3.5mm headphone jack, and microUSB 2.0. No NFC, no FM radio. Sensors: rear fingerprint, accelerometer, proximity, compass, ambient light.
Variants, Colours and Availability
The Pakistan variant is 4GB + 64GB in Aurora Blue and Midnight Black. The Y7p is essentially the same hardware as the Huawei P40 Lite E sold in some other markets (a rebrand — both share the Kirin 710F, 6.39-inch punch-hole display, and 48MP triple camera). The Y7p is discontinued; only used units remain.
Price in Pakistan and PTA Information
The official launch price was Rs. 28,999 (March 2020 pre-order, Huawei Pakistan). Now discontinued; used-market listing estimates are around Rs. 26,000. These are estimates — condition varies, so confirm the price with Zohaan Mobile Gallery before buying.

- Punch-hole display design, slim 176 g body
- Very low used price (~Rs. 26,000)
Limitations:

Who Should Consider This Phone?
Good fit: buyers who want a 48MP camera and decent performance for ~Rs. 26,000 and don't need Google apps — if your daily apps all run on HMS, the Y7p is one of the cheapest 48MP phones you can buy.
Look elsewhere if: you need Google Play Store or a sharp Full HD screen — the Y7a (FHD+, 22.5W charging) or the Y9 2019 (full Google apps) are better fits. Compare in all mobiles.

Final Verdict
The Huawei Y7p is a 48MP triple-camera phone with solid mid-range performance for around Rs. 26,000 used — strong value if and only if you can live without Google apps. The HD+ display and slow charging are real compromises, but the camera and chip punch above the price. HMS compatibility is the make-or-break question; answer it before you buy.
