Design and Build Quality
The Pura 80 is the most pocket-friendly phone in the 2025 Pura lineup: at 157.7 x 74.4 x 8.2 mm and 211 g, it is noticeably smaller and lighter than its 6.8-inch Pro siblings. The build is proper flagship fare — glass front and back with an aluminium frame — and Huawei rates it IP68/IP69, meaning it is sealed against dust and can survive immersion as well as high-pressure water jets. The display is protected by second-generation Kunlun Glass, which Huawei claims is far tougher than standard glass.
Display Features
The 6.6-inch LTPO OLED panel delivers 1256 x 2760 resolution with an adaptive 1–120Hz refresh rate, so it sips power on static content and goes smooth when scrolling or gaming. Third-party spec sheets list HDR support and a peak brightness around 2,800 nits, which should keep the screen readable in harsh Pakistani sunlight.
Processor and Performance
The Pura 80's chip depends on where it was sold: third-party teardowns and spec databases report the Kirin 9010S in the Chinese version and the Kirin 9020 in the international variant. Huawei never officially names its Kirin chips, so treat both as reported rather than confirmed. Either way, you are getting a 7nm-class Huawei flagship chip that handles everyday use — social apps, 4K video, multitasking — comfortably and can game at high settings, though it trails the latest Snapdragon and Dimensity flagships in raw benchmark headroom.
RAM and Storage
Every Pura 80 ships with 12GB of RAM, which is ample for heavy multitasking in 2026. Storage options are 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB, but there is no microSD slot — so pick the storage tier you will actually need, because you cannot expand it later.
Camera Features
The camera system is the Pura 80's headline act. The 50MP main camera uses a variable aperture (f/1.4–f/4.0) with optical stabilisation — the lens physically opens wider in low light and stops down in bright scenes, a trick borrowed from Huawei's most expensive phones. It is joined by a 12MP periscope telephoto (reported at 5.5x optical zoom in Malaysian launch coverage and 5x in some spec databases — the discrepancy is noted as unconfirmed) and a 13MP ultrawide. The 13MP front camera has autofocus, which is still rare on selfie cameras. Huawei's XMAGE imaging and AI features (AI Removal, AI Best Expression, gesture controls) round out the package.
Battery and Charging
Battery capacity is the one spec you should double-check on the exact unit you buy: Chinese-market specs list 5,600mAh, while the international variant launched in Malaysia is reported at 5,170mAh. Either figure comfortably covers a full day of typical use. Charging is 66W wired with 50W wireless — wireless charging at this tier is a genuine luxury — plus reverse charging for topping up accessories.
Software and Updates
In China the Pura 80 runs HarmonyOS 5.1; international units run EMUI (reported as EMUI 14.2/15.0 depending on market). Like every Huawei flagship since 2019, this phone runs on Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) — there are no Google Play Services, no Play Store, and no native Google apps. Apps come from Huawei AppGallery or third-party sources. If your daily life depends on Google apps, banking apps, or Google-backed services, verify compatibility before buying. Huawei's official long-term update commitment for this model was not confirmed at the time of writing — ask the seller which software version the specific unit ships with, because China and international units differ.
Connectivity and Additional Features
The Pura 80 supports 5G (network support follows the chipset variant), dual nano-SIM, Wi-Fi up to the 7th generation per spec databases, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and USB Type-C. There is no 3.5mm headphone jack. Stereo speakers and an infrared blaster appear in third-party spec sheets but were not independently verified.
Variants, Colours and Availability
Verified variants: 12GB RAM with 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB storage. Chinese colours are Velvet Gold, Velvet Green, Velvet White, and Velvet Black; Malaysia got Frosted Gold, Frosted White, and Frosted Black. The series launched in China on 11 June 2025, and the base Pura 80 reached Malaysia in September 2025 at RM3,299 — but unlike the Pro and Ultra, it was not part of the October 2025 European launch. Huawei Pakistan has not officially launched the Pura 80; units in Pakistan come through unofficial import channels, which affects warranty and after-sales support.
Price in Pakistan and PTA Information
The expected unofficial price in Pakistan is Rs. 179,999 for the 12GB + 256GB variant (mobileinto.com, updated 9 October 2026), with the 512GB and 1TB variants estimated at Rs. 199,999 and Rs. 229,999. These are import-market estimates, not official prices — street prices move with the dollar and import costs, so confirm the latest price with Zohaan Mobile Gallery before buying.
PTA: PTA approval is per device and IMEI, not per model. These Pura phones reach Pakistan through unofficial/import channels, so before paying, send the phone's IMEI by SMS to 8484 and confirm "Compliant" status. How to check PTA approval and what PTA approval means.

Final Verdict
The Pura 80 is Huawei's most accessible 2025 flagship, and its camera hardware — variable aperture plus periscope zoom — embarrasses most rivals near its expected Rs. 179,999 price. The catch is the ecosystem: no Google services and no official Pakistan presence. If you can live inside AppGallery, it is a superb camera phone for the money; if you cannot, no spec sheet will fix that.
