Huawei P9 Lite Price in Pakistan & Full Specs
Huawei P9 Lite — Full Specifications, Features & Price in Pakistan
The Huawei P9 Lite (2016) was the budget sibling of the famous P9: same 5.2-inch Full HD display size and aluminium frame, a rear fingerprint sensor, and the efficient Kirin 650 chip — but with a single 13MP camera instead of the Leica dual setup. As a pre-ban model it runs full Google apps. This guide covers its verified specifications, realistic used pricing in Pakistan, and what to check before buying.

Design and Build Quality
The P9 Lite keeps the P-series look: glass front, aluminium frame, plastic back, and a fast rear fingerprint sensor. At 7.5mm and 147g it is slim and pocketable, and build quality was a step above typical 2016 budget phones.
Check the plastic back for cracks and the fingerprint sensor's speed on used units — a sluggish sensor often means a replaced or damaged module.
Display Features
The 5.2-inch IPS LCD at 1920 x 1080 (424 ppi) is genuinely sharp — text and photos look crisp, and it was one of the best budget displays of 2016. Brightness is adequate indoors but struggles in harsh sunlight.
For a backup phone's screen duties — WhatsApp, calls, YouTube — it remains perfectly usable.
Processor and Performance
The Kirin 650 (16nm) is an efficient octa-core chip that sips power; paired with 2–3GB RAM it handles calls, messaging, and light apps smoothly. Heavy games and modern multitasking are out of reach, and 2GB RAM variants stutter with several apps open.
If you find a 3GB RAM unit, take it — the extra gigabyte makes a noticeable difference on this phone.
RAM and Storage
16GB built-in storage with 2GB or 3GB RAM is tight in 2026; the microSD slot (up to 128GB, hybrid second-SIM slot) is essential for photos and offline media. Many core apps must still live on internal storage.
For a hotspot or backup device, 16GB suffices. For anything more, the storage ceiling is the limiting factor.
Camera Features
The single 13MP rear camera (f/2.0, LED flash, 1080p video) takes decent daylight shots — nowhere near the Leica dual camera of the full P9, but respectable for the price class. The 8MP front camera covers video calls.
When inspecting, test autofocus at different distances and check the flash — these are the common failure points on old units.
Battery and Charging
The 3,000mAh battery with Huawei's SmartPower 4.0 was a strong point in 2016, easily lasting a day when new. Charging is 10W over microUSB — slow by today's standards, and original batteries are now well past their prime.
Ask about battery replacement history and test real-world drain; a P9 Lite that dies by afternoon needs a new cell, available via mobile repair.
Software and Updates
Launched on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with EMUI 4.1, upgradable to Android 7.0 Nougat with EMUI 5. Security updates ended long ago — keep it away from banking apps.
The compensation: full Google apps and Play Services, since this is a 2016 pre-ban device. Google apps install and update normally, subject to Android 7.0 compatibility.
Connectivity and Additional Features
4G LTE, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC (on L31/L21 variants), GPS/GLONASS, FM radio, and a rear fingerprint sensor. The IR blaster found on the P9 is missing here.
Dual SIM is hybrid — the second nano-SIM slot doubles as the microSD slot.
Variants, Colours and Availability
Shipped as 2GB/16GB and 3GB/16GB in Black, White, and Gold. The same hardware was sold as the G9 Lite in some markets and the Honor 8 Smart in India — identical phones under different names, worth knowing when comparing used listings.
New stock is gone; Pakistan listings are used units, mostly 2GB/16GB.
Price in Pakistan and PTA Information
The P9 Lite launched in Pakistan at PKR 28,499 (PhoneWorld, 2016) and is discontinued. Current OLX listings (October 2026) cluster around Rs. 6,000–8,500 — a used-market estimate that moves with condition. Confirm the latest price with Zohaan Mobile Gallery before buying.

- 2GB/16GB base variant is too tight for 2026
