Huawei P40 4G Price in Pakistan & Specs
Huawei P40 4G — Full Specifications, Features & Price in Pakistan
The Huawei P40 4G is exactly what its name says: the P40 with the 5G modem removed. Released in February 2021 — a year after the original P40 — it swaps the Kirin 990 5G for a 4G-only Kirin 990 while keeping the same 6.1-inch OLED, the same 50MP Leica camera, and the same body. Everything about the standard P40 applies here, including the defining caveat: no Google apps. This guide explains what changed, what did not, and how to price it against the 5G original.

Design and Build Quality
Identical to the standard P40: 148.9 x 71.1 x 8.5 mm, 175 g, glass front and back with an aluminium frame. The compact flagship feel is the same, and so are the in-display fingerprint sensor and infrared face recognition. Listed colours are Frost Silver and Dark Blue. If you put the P40 and P40 4G side by side, you cannot tell them apart — the difference is entirely inside, in the modem.
Display Features
The same 6.1-inch OLED (1080 x 2340, ~422 ppi) with 90Hz refresh rate as the standard P40. Sharp, vivid, and smooth — a genuinely good compact display even in 2026. As with the P40, the 6.1-inch size is a matter of taste: excellent for one-handed use, small if you watch a lot of video.
Processor and Performance
The Kirin 990 4G variant (7 nm+) runs the same CPU configuration as the 5G chip — octa-core up to 2.86 GHz with Mali-G76 MP16 graphics — minus the integrated 5G modem. In daily use and gaming, performance is effectively identical to the standard P40. The practical difference: this phone will never connect to 5G, on any carrier, ever. With Pakistan's 5G rollout still limited, that barely matters today — but it does affect resale value against the 5G original.
RAM and Storage
8GB RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.0 storage, same as the standard P40, with a Nano Memory slot (up to 256GB, shared with SIM 2) for expansion. The same advice applies: 128GB fills up with 4K video, so heavy shooters should plan on a Nano Memory card.
Camera Features
Unchanged from the P40: the 50MP UltraVision main sensor (f/1.9, 1/1.28-inch, OIS), 16MP ultrawide with autofocus, and 8MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom and OIS, plus a 32MP front camera with IR ToF. This is the same flagship-class Leica system — daylight detail, night shots, and 4K60 video are all excellent. The camera is the reason to buy this phone; nothing about the 4G downgrade touches it.
Battery and Charging
The same 3,800mAh battery with 22.5W fast charging. In theory the 4G-only modem sips slightly less power than the 5G chip, but in practice any difference is negligible — especially on a used unit where battery health dominates. Test battery health before buying, and note there is no wireless charging.
Software and Updates
Android 10 with EMUI, and — like every P40-series phone — HMS only, with no Google Play Services. No Play Store, no Gmail/Maps/YouTube apps, and the same app-compatibility risks with banking and government apps. The P40 4G launched in 2021, a year into Huawei's restrictions, so there was never any question of Google support. If your daily apps need Google, do not buy this phone. Official updates have ended.
Connectivity and Additional Features
4G LTE (LTE-A), dual Nano-SIM standby, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, USB Type-C 3.1. No 5G bands at all — the spec sheet lists GSM/HSPA/LTE only. Sensors mirror the P40: in-display fingerprint, IR face recognition, accelerometer, gyroscope, compass, proximity, colour spectrum. No 3.5mm jack, no FM radio.
Variants, Colours and Availability
The P40 4G (model ANA-AL00 in some listings) comes as 8GB + 128GB in Frost Silver and Dark Blue. It was released in February 2021, primarily for markets where 5G was irrelevant or to cut costs. It was never a high-volume Pakistan release; the local market is used units and grey imports. Verify the model number before paying — sellers sometimes list the standard P40 and the P40 4G interchangeably, and the 4G version should cost less than the 5G original.
Price in Pakistan and PTA Information
Listed prices for the Huawei P40 4G in Pakistan: Rs. 138,000 on mobgsm and Rs. 161,700 on hi94 — dated listing estimates, not current market prices, and both above what a used unit should reasonably cost. Our catalog reference is Rs. 95,000. As a rule of thumb, the P40 4G should trade below the standard P40 5G — if a seller prices them the same, you are overpaying for the 4G version. Confirm the actual current price with Zohaan Mobile Gallery before buying.
PTA: PTA approval applies per device and IMEI, not per model. Before paying, send the phone's IMEI to 8484 and confirm "Compliant" status. What is PTA approval | How to check PTA approval | How to check IMEI.

Final Verdict
The P40 4G is the budget entry into the P40 camera experience: same Leica optics and compact OLED flagship as the standard P40, minus 5G, usually at a lower price. The HMS-only software is the same deal-breaker-or-not as its sibling — decide that first. Then make sure you are paying 4G money, not 5G money.
