Huawei P30 Pro — Full Specifications, Features & Price in Pakistan

The Huawei P30 Pro is the phone that made periscope zoom famous: its 5x optical telephoto lens captured moon shots that no other 2019 phone could touch. Seven years on, it remains one of Pakistan's most traded used flagships — because it pairs that legendary Leica camera with something no newer Huawei can offer: full Google apps and the Play Store. This guide covers verified specifications, current listed prices, and what to check when buying one used.

Key Specifications at a Glance

Design and Build Quality

The P30 Pro wraps a 6.47-inch curved OLED in a glass-and-aluminium unibody measuring 158 x 73.4 x 8.4 mm and 192 g. The gradient finishes — Aurora, Breathing Crystal, Amber Sunrise — were icons of 2019 design and still turn heads. IP68 dust and water resistance (up to 2m for 30 minutes) is a genuine flagship feature that many cheaper phones still lack. The in-display fingerprint sensor was cutting-edge at launch, though it is slower than today's ultrasonic readers.

Display Features

The 6.47-inch OLED panel (1080 x 2340, ~398 ppi) curves at the edges for a near-bezel-less look. Colours are vivid, blacks are deep, and brightness is adequate for outdoor use. It is a 60Hz panel — smooth enough, but visibly less fluid than the 90Hz+ displays standard on newer phones. The curved edges look premium but make finding a perfectly fitting screen protector harder.

Processor and Performance

The Kirin 980 (7 nm) with 8GB RAM still delivers a respectable daily experience: apps open quickly, multitasking is smooth, and the phone handles PUBG-style games at medium settings. It is outgunned by current mid-range chips in sustained load, and EMUI's aggressive background-app management can occasionally kill apps you wanted running. For photography, browsing, and social use — the reasons most people buy this phone — it remains perfectly capable.

RAM and Storage

8GB RAM was flagship-standard in 2019 and is still enough for smooth multitasking in 2026. Storage options of 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB cover every need; the Nano Memory slot (shared with SIM 2, up to 256GB) adds flexibility. Most Pakistani used listings are the 8GB + 128GB or 8GB + 256GB variants — the 512GB version is rare.

Camera Features

This is why the P30 Pro exists. The Leica quad camera: a 40MP SuperSpectrum main sensor (f/1.6, OIS) with a huge 1/1.7-inch RYYB sensor for exceptional low light, a 20MP ultrawide, an 8MP periscope telephoto (f/3.4) delivering 5x optical, 10x hybrid, and 50x digital zoom, and a ToF 3D depth sensor. Night mode shots remain remarkable even by 2026 standards, and the zoom — once the best in the world — still impresses. The 32MP front camera is solid for selfies. No newer Huawei with this camera hardware also has Google services, which is exactly why this phone holds its used value.

Battery and Charging

The 4,200mAh battery was big in 2019; on a seven-year-old used unit, real-world endurance depends entirely on battery health — budget for a possible battery replacement and factor it into the price. Charging is versatile: 40W wired (70% in about 30 minutes), 15W wireless, and reverse wireless charging to top up earbuds. Used buyers should test that wireless charging still works, as coil damage is hard to spot.

Software and Updates

The P30 Pro shipped with Android 9.0 and EMUI 9.1 (upgradable to Android 10) and — the critical fact — full Google Mobile Services. Play Store, Gmail, Maps, banking apps: everything works. Official updates ended years ago, so you are buying a finished software package. For a camera-first used flagship, that trade-off is usually acceptable; for a security-conscious primary phone, weigh it carefully.

Connectivity and Additional Features

4G LTE (Cat 21), dual Nano-SIM standby, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, FM radio, and USB Type-C 3.1. Dolby Atmos sound, an IR blaster-free design, and an in-display fingerprint reader round out the package. Note: there is no 3.5mm headphone jack on the P30 Pro — unlike the standard P30. No 5G.

Variants, Colours and Availability

Common variants in Pakistan: 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB; the 8GB + 512GB version is uncommon. Colours seen locally include Aurora, Breathing Crystal, Black, and Amber Sunrise. The phone is long discontinued new — the market is used and refurbished units, with prices varying sharply by condition, PTA status, and storage. Do not confuse it with the P30 Pro New Edition (2020 refresh, 8/12GB RAM options, different pricing) — verify the exact model before agreeing on a price.

Final Verdict

The P30 Pro is Huawei's greatest used-market flagship: a camera that still embarrasses newer phones, Google services intact, and IP68 build quality. Its age is the honest caveat — every unit is used, batteries are tired, and software is frozen in time. Buy it for the camera, verify the IMEI and battery, negotiate on condition — and you get a photography flagship for a fraction of its original price.
