Huawei Nova Y90 — Full Specifications, Features & Price in Pakistan

The Huawei Nova Y90, launched in mid-2022, is the Y-series phone for buyers who care about the screen: a 6.7-inch Full-HD+ 90Hz display — still the sharpest panel in Huawei's budget Y lineup — paired with a Snapdragon 680, 8GB of RAM and 40W fast charging, Pakistan-priced at Rs. 46,999. It runs EMUI 12 without Google Play Services. This guide covers the verified specifications and where the Y90 beats its bigger-battery siblings (and where it loses).

Key Specifications at a Glance

Design and Build Quality

The Y90 is the most hand-friendly phone in this guide: at 163.3mm tall and 195g it is noticeably more compact than the 6.75-inch Y-series slabs, with a slimmer 8.4mm profile. Four colours — Crystal Blue, Pearl White, Emerald Green and Midnight Black — give real choice. Stereo speakers are a genuine plus at this price, and the side-mounted fingerprint sensor is fast and reliable. It feels like a complete, considered design rather than a battery with a screen attached.

Display Features

This is the Y90's reason to exist: a 6.7-inch IPS LCD with Full-HD+ resolution (1080 x 2388, ~391 ppi) and a 90Hz refresh rate. Text is crisp, photos show real detail, and the 90Hz scrolling is smooth — it is simply a better screen than every other Y phone in this guide. If display quality is your top priority under Rs. 50,000 in Huawei's lineup, the decision effectively ends here.

Processor and Performance

The Snapdragon 680 (6nm) is efficient and dependable: everyday apps, social media and light gaming run smoothly, and the 6nm process keeps heat and battery drain low. It is a 4G-only chip with no 5G path. In 2026 it is not fast by any absolute measure, but paired with 8GB of RAM it delivers a consistently smooth everyday experience — the Y90 feels quicker in normal use than its benchmark tier suggests.

RAM and Storage

8GB of RAM with 128GB of storage and no card slot. The 8GB keeps multitasking fluid; the fixed 128GB is the constraint — with 4K-capable cameras and app sizes growing, heavy users should manage storage actively. There is no 256GB variant verified for Pakistan.

Camera Features

Triple rear: 50MP main (f/1.8, PDAF) + 2MP macro + 2MP depth, with an 8MP front camera. The 50MP sensor takes pleasing daylight photos with good detail — helped by the sharp display you will view them on — while the macro and depth sensors are the usual filler. No ultrawide, which the cheaper Y70/Y71 offer. Night shots are average. Video is 1080p.

Battery and Charging

5,000mAh with 40W wired charging — the fastest charging in this guide's Y-series, advertised at 50% in 30 minutes. The battery is smaller than the 6,000mAh siblings, so endurance is a full day rather than two — but the 40W top-ups change the calculus: a short charge buys hours of use. For most people, fast charging plus a day of battery beats two days of battery with slow charging.

Software and Updates

EMUI 12 without Google Play Services — the familiar Huawei condition. The interface is smooth on the 90Hz display, and AppGallery plus sideloading covers WhatsApp, TikTok, Facebook and many local apps. But Google Maps, Gmail, YouTube and Google-dependent services do not run natively. As a 2022 model, the software future is limited — buy it for what it does today.

Connectivity and Additional Features

4G LTE on dual Nano-SIM, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, full satellite positioning and USB Type-C with OTG. NFC is region-dependent — confirm on the specific unit if contactless matters. Stereo speakers stand out at this price. No 5G; the Snapdragon 680 is 4G-only.

Variants, Colours and Availability

A single 8GB + 128GB configuration in Crystal Blue, Pearl White, Emerald Green and Midnight Black. Pricing is fairly tight: Rs. 46,999 (mobilemall.pk, distributor-sourced, updated October 6 2026) and Rs. 48,700 (yahoomobile.com.pk) — a realistic band under Rs. 49,000. Zohaan Mobile Gallery's catalog reference is Rs. 34,999, which is well below current listings and should be treated as a reference only; confirm the live price.

You trade battery capacity and expansion for that polish, and the Google-services question applies as always. If the screen is what you look at all day, the Y90 is the Y-series pick; if endurance is what you need, its 6,000mAh siblings win.
