Huawei Nova Y70 — Full Specifications, Features & Price in Pakistan

The Huawei Nova Y70 is the value champion of Huawei's Y-series in Pakistan: a 6,000mAh battery, a 48MP triple camera and 128GB of storage for Rs. 34,700. Launched in 2022, it is an older model still circulating in the market — which means good prices but also the usual Y-series trade-off: EMUI 12 with no Google Play Services. This guide covers the verified specifications and whether the cheapest big-battery Huawei still makes sense in 2026.

Key Specifications at a Glance

Design and Build Quality

The Y70 is a large, straightforward phone: a 6.75-inch display in a plastic body with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a triple-camera block on the back. Crystal Blue, Midnight Black and Pearl White cover the colour options. At 199g it is hefty — the 6,000mAh battery again — but the weight feels reassuring rather than clumsy. There is nothing distinctive about the design; it is built to a price and it shows, in an honest way.

Display Features

The 6.75-inch TFT LCD runs at HD+ resolution (720 x 1600), which is the Y70's most visible compromise: on a screen this large, ~260 ppi means text and icons look visibly soft next to Full-HD rivals. It is a 60Hz panel with average brightness — fine indoors, a struggle in harsh sunlight. If your usage is mostly video and social apps at arm's length, it is acceptable; if you read a lot of text, the softness will annoy you.

Processor and Performance

The Kirin 710 is a familiar, older mid-range chip: octa-core with four performance cores at 2.2GHz. In 2022 it was a competent budget performer; in 2026 it is simply adequate — WhatsApp, YouTube, Facebook and light games run fine, but heavy multitasking and demanding 3D games expose its age. One caution: some low-quality listings attribute fantasy specs to this phone (Dimensity chips, Adreno 660); the verified chipset is the Kirin 710, full stop.

RAM and Storage

4GB of RAM with 128GB of storage, expandable via microSD. 128GB is generous at Rs. 34,700 and the card slot removes storage anxiety entirely. 4GB of RAM is the limiting factor — fine for typical use, but the phone will reload apps more often than 6GB+ rivals. Keep expectations matched to the price and it behaves well.

Camera Features

The 48MP main camera is genuinely useful in daylight, and the Y70's advantage over cheaper siblings is the 5MP ultrawide — a real second lens for landscapes and group shots, not just a macro filler — plus a 2MP depth sensor for portraits. The 8MP front camera handles video calls. Night shots are noisy and slow, as expected. For a Rs. 34,700 phone, a usable ultrawide is a legitimate differentiator.

Battery and Charging

6,000mAh with 22.5W charging is the headline: two days of moderate use is realistic, and even heavy days end with charge to spare. The 22.5W charger keeps top-up times reasonable for a battery this size. Among phones near this price, very few match this endurance — it is the Y70's entire reason to exist.

Software and Updates

EMUI 12 without Google Play Services — the standard Huawei condition. The interface is stable and the phone does what it promises, but Google Maps, Gmail, YouTube and Google-dependent apps do not run natively. AppGallery and sideloading cover the essentials for many users, but verify your must-have apps before buying. There is no meaningful update path to newer EMUI versions on this model.

Connectivity and Additional Features

4G LTE on single or dual Nano-SIM (region-dependent), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, full satellite positioning (GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo, QZSS) and USB Type-C with OTG. No NFC on the standard variant and no 5G — the Kirin 710 is a 4G-only chip.

Variants, Colours and Availability

A single 4GB + 128GB configuration in Crystal Blue, Midnight Black and Pearl White. Pricing is consistent across listings at Rs. 34,700, which matches Zohaan Mobile Gallery's catalog reference. With only one variant, the buying decision is simply condition and PTA status — especially for remaining new-old-stock or used units.

Price in Pakistan and PTA Information

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the price of the Huawei Nova Y70 in Pakistan?

Rs. 34,700 for the 4GB + 128GB variant, consistently listed across Pakistan price sites (October 2026). Distributor listings show Rs. 32,999. Confirm the current store price before buying.

What is its battery capacity?

6,000mAh with 22.5W wired fast charging — the phone's biggest strength, delivering up to two days of moderate use.

What cameras does it have?

Triple rear: 48MP main (f/1.8, PDAF) + 5MP ultrawide (120°) + 2MP depth, and an 8MP front camera. The ultrawide is a genuine bonus at this price.

Does the Nova Y70 have Google Play Store?

No. It runs EMUI 12 with Huawei Mobile Services only — no Google Play Services or native Google apps.

Which chipset does it use?

The Kirin 710 (octa-core, Mali-G51 MP4). Ignore listings claiming other chips — those are template errors on low-quality sites.

Does it support 5G?

No. The Kirin 710 is 4G-only hardware.

How does it differ from the Nova Y70 Plus?

The Y70 Plus offers 64/128GB variants with up to 6GB RAM, but its chipset is officially unconfirmed — whereas the Y70's Kirin 710 is verified. The Y70 is also cheaper.

Is it PTA approved?

PTA status is per device, not per model. Verify the specific unit's IMEI by SMS to 8484 before purchase.

Final Verdict

The Nova Y70 is simple arithmetic: Rs. 34,700 buys you a 6,000mAh battery, 48MP + ultrawide cameras and 128GB storage from Huawei. The subtractions are equally simple: no Google services, an HD+ screen and a 2022 chipset. If your priorities are battery and price and you can live without Google apps, little else touches it at this price. If not, no spec sheet will fix that.
