Huawei Nova 8i Price in Pakistan & Specs
Huawei Nova 8i — Full Specifications, Features & Price in Pakistan
The Huawei Nova 8i is the international workhorse of the Nova 8 family: a big 6.67-inch display, a Snapdragon 662 chip, a 64MP quad camera, and a 4,300mAh battery with 66W fast charging. Unlike the China-only Nova 8 models, the Nova 8i was sold in markets like Malaysia and the Middle East — and it shares its design platform with the Honor 50 Lite. This guide covers the verified specs and the Pakistan price picture.

Design and Build Quality
The Nova 8i is the chunky sibling: 161.9 x 74.7 x 8.6mm at 190g, the heaviest Nova 8. It launched in Moonlight Silver, Interstellar Blue, and Starry Black with a circular camera module that became Huawei's design signature for this generation. The fingerprint reader is side-mounted on the power button. If you want slim, the Nova 8 (169g) is the family lightweight.
Display Features
A 6.67-inch IPS LCD at 1080 x 2376 (~391 ppi) — the largest screen in the Nova 8 family, but LCD rather than OLED, and 60Hz. For video watching and reading, size compensates; for contrast and smoothness, the OLED-equipped Nova 8 and Nova 8 SE are better. Corning Gorilla Glass protection is reported on retail listings but was not independently confirmed against official sources (flagged below).
Processor and Performance
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 (11nm) is an octa-core chip (4x2.0GHz Kryo 260 Gold + 4x1.8GHz Kryo 260 Silver) with an Adreno 610 GPU — a budget 2020 chip, noticeably slower than the Kirin 820E in the Nova 8 and even the Dimensity 720 in the Nova 8 SE. It handles daily use and casual games fine; demanding 3D games need reduced settings. No benchmark scores are claimed here — manufacturer specs reported as-is.
RAM and Storage
6GB or 8GB RAM with 128GB of internal storage, no microSD slot. The 8GB variant is the one to buy if available — 6GB is adequate but tighter for multitasking.
Camera Features
The quad rear camera leads with a 64MP main sensor (f/1.9, PDAF) plus an 8MP ultrawide (120-degree), a 2MP macro, and a 2MP depth sensor — video capped at 1080p@30fps (the Snapdragon 662 does not support 4K). The front camera is a 16MP shooter with 1080p video. The 64MP sensor delivers solid daylight shots, but the lack of 4K video and the budget chip's processing put it behind the Nova 8 SE.
Battery and Charging
The biggest battery in the Nova 8 family: 4,300mAh with 66W SuperCharge — advertised as 60% in 17 minutes and a full charge in 38 minutes. Combined with the efficient chip and LCD screen, this is the Nova 8 with the best battery endurance. No wireless charging.
Software and Updates
Runs Android 10 with EMUI 11. Important: Like all post-2019 Huawei phones, the Nova 8i has no Google Play Services — it runs Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) with the AppGallery store. Google apps do not work out of the box; workarounds exist but many buyers find them unreliable. The Android 10 base is now dated — verify the unit's update status before buying.
Connectivity and Additional Features
Dual Nano-SIM 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (dual-band), Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C 2.0, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a side-mounted fingerprint reader. No NFC — a real miss for contactless payments. No FM radio reported.
Variants, Colours and Availability
Launched July 2021 (international) in 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB variants. Note that the Nova 9 SE is a separate, newer phone (Snapdragon 680, 108MP camera) — it is not the same device, despite the similar name and shared design language. The Nova 8i was not officially launched in Pakistan; local stock is import or used. The store's catalog reference is Rs. 21,999 (catalog reference only, not a current market price).
Price in Pakistan and PTA Information
Listing sites pegged the Nova 8i at Rs. 49,999 (WhatMobile "expected", hamariweb, pinpack) — historical listing figures, not verified current prices. Used units appear on OLX around Rs. 19,500 (individual seller listings, conditions vary). Street prices move, so confirm the current live price with Zohaan Mobile Gallery before buying.
PTA: PTA approval applies per device and IMEI, not per model. Before paying, send the phone's IMEI to 8484 and confirm "Compliant" status. How to check PTA approval.

Who Should Consider This Phone?
Good fit: buyers who want the Nova 8 with the best battery life and the biggest screen for media, at a budget used price — and who are comfortable with HMS.
Look elsewhere if: you need 5G, 4K video, NFC payments, or Google services — the Nova 8 SE is the smarter family upgrade. Compare all mobiles instead.

Final Verdict
The Nova 8i is the Nova 8 family's battery-and-screen champion: 4,300mAh, 66W charging, and a 6.67-inch display at a budget used price. Its honest limits are the Snapdragon 662 (no 4K video), the LCD screen, no NFC, and HMS-only software. If battery life matters more than camera ambition, it is the pick of the family — verify the IMEI before paying.
