Huawei Nova 8 SE Price in Pakistan & Specs
Huawei Nova 8 SE — Full Specifications, Features & Price in Pakistan
The Huawei Nova 8 SE was Huawei's 2020 answer to affordable 5G: a slim 7.46mm body with a 6.53-inch OLED display, a choice of two MediaTek chips (Dimensity 720 or the faster Dimensity 800U in the High Edition), a 64MP quad camera, and 66W fast charging. One detail to get right from the start: the Standard Edition uses the Dimensity 720 while the High Edition uses the Dimensity 800U — everything else on the two editions is identical. This guide covers the verified specs and the Pakistan price picture.

Design and Build Quality
The Nova 8 SE is the slimmest of the Nova 8 family at just 7.46mm, weighing 178g with a 6.53-inch screen. It launched in Deep Sea Blue, Magic Night Black, Silver Moon Stars, and Sakura Snow Clear Sky. The square camera module and flat edges give it a clean, understated look — noticeably more pocketable than the 190g Nova 8i.
Display Features
A 6.53-inch OLED panel with HDR10 at 1080 x 2400 resolution (~403 ppi) — remarkable because budget SE phones usually ship with LCD; the Nova 8 SE Youth, for example, makes do with IPS LCD. Colours are rich and contrast is strong for the segment. It is a 60Hz panel, so you trade high-refresh smoothness for OLED contrast — the Nova 8's 90Hz OLED offers both if that matters to you.
Processor and Performance
Two editions, two chips: the Standard Edition runs the MediaTek Dimensity 720 (2x2.0GHz Cortex-A76 + 6x2.0GHz Cortex-A55), while the High Edition runs the Dimensity 800U (2x2.4GHz Cortex-A76 + 6x2.0GHz Cortex-A55) — both 7nm with a Mali-G57 MC3 GPU. The High Edition adds dual-SIM 5G (5G + 5G) versus the Standard's 5G + 4G. With 8GB RAM, both handle everyday use well; the 800U pulls ahead in sustained gaming. No benchmark scores are claimed here — manufacturer specs reported as-is.
RAM and Storage
Both editions ship with 8GB RAM and a single 128GB UFS 2.1 storage option — no 256GB tier, and no microSD slot. For 2020 this was generous; today, 128GB fills up fast if you shoot a lot of 4K video.
Camera Features
The quad rear camera leads with a 64MP main sensor (f/1.9, PDAF) plus an 8MP ultrawide (f/2.4), a 2MP macro, and a 2MP depth sensor — recording 4K@30fps. The front camera is a 16MP (f/2.0) shooter with 1080p video. The main sensor is the same 64MP class as the standard Nova 8's, but the Nova 8 adds a higher-resolution 32MP selfie camera and HDR10 on a faster-refresh display.
Battery and Charging
A 3,800mAh battery with 66W wired fast charging — Huawei advertises 60% in 15 minutes and a full charge in 35 minutes, the same class-leading charging as the rest of the family. The battery is small by 2026 standards, but 66W refills it fast enough that most buyers top up during the day. No wireless charging, no reverse charging confirmed.
Software and Updates
Runs Android 10 with EMUI 10.1. Important: Like all post-2019 Huawei phones, the Nova 8 SE has no Google Play Services — it runs Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) with the AppGallery store. Google apps do not work out of the box; workarounds exist but many buyers find them unreliable. Also note the older Android 10 base — check with the seller whether any EMUI updates were delivered on the specific unit.
Connectivity and Additional Features
Dual Nano-SIM with 5G (SA/NSA on band lists), Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.1, USB Type-C 2.0 with OTG, and an in-display optical fingerprint reader. No NFC — a miss that the standard Nova 8 and Nova 8 Pro do not share. No 3.5mm jack per spec listings (some launch reports claimed one; spec databases show none — flagged below).
Variants, Colours and Availability
Launched November 5, 2020 (China) in Standard (CNY 2,599) and High (CNY 2,699) editions, in four colours. It had no official Pakistan launch; Pakistan stock is import or used. Do not confuse it with the Nova 8 SE Youth — a later, cheaper phone with a Kirin 710A chip and LCD screen. The store's catalog reference for the Nova 8 SE is Rs. 22,999 (catalog reference only, not a current market price).
Price in Pakistan and PTA Information
There is no official Pakistan price for the Nova 8 SE — WhatMobile lists it as "Coming Soon" with no live figure. Its launch price was CNY 2,599 (~€330) in China. As a 2020 import/used model, local prices vary widely by condition; confirm the current live price with Zohaan Mobile Gallery before buying.
PTA: PTA approval applies per device and IMEI, not per model. Before paying, send the phone's IMEI to 8484 and confirm "Compliant" status. How to check PTA approval.

Look elsewhere if: you need Google services, a bigger battery, or official local support — compare all mobiles instead.

Final Verdict
The Nova 8 SE was a clever 2020 formula: flagship-style 66W charging, an OLED screen, and 5G in a slim 7.46mm body. Its honest limits today are HMS-only software, the older Android 10 base, 128GB-only storage, and no official Pakistan launch. As an import/used buy, the High Edition (Dimensity 800U) is the one to hunt for — verify the edition and IMEI before paying.
