Design and Build Quality
A 6.57-inch body at 197 g with an aluminium frame and glass panels feels premium in hand. The wide pill-shaped punch-hole houses dual selfie cameras, and the side-mounted fingerprint reader doubles as the power key. Colours include Black, Blue, Red and the gradient Provence finish. There is a 3.5mm headphone jack — increasingly rare at this level.
Display Features
The 6.57-inch LTPS IPS LCD runs 1080 x 2400 (about 401 ppi) under Corning Gorilla Glass. It is sharp and colour-accurate, but it is still LCD — blacks and contrast fall short of the OLED panels on the Nova 7 and 7 Pro. Refresh rate is 60Hz.
Processor and Performance
The Kirin 990 remains a very capable chip: fast app launches, smooth multitasking with 8GB RAM, and comfortable mid-settings gaming. It will not match 2026 flagship silicon, but for calls, media and everyday use it is more than enough. This 4G variant uses the standard Kirin 990; the separate Nova 6 5G model has the integrated-5G version.
RAM and Storage
8GB RAM with 128GB of built-in storage is the standard configuration. There is no card slot and no higher-storage variant listed, so buyers who shoot lots of 4K video should plan storage carefully.
Camera Features
The triple rear camera is the phone's best argument: a 40MP main sensor (large 1/1.7-inch, PDAF + laser AF), an 8MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom and OIS, and an 8MP ultrawide — with 4K video and 960fps slow motion. Zoom shots hold up far better than digital-zoom rivals. The dual front cameras (32MP main + 8MP ultrawide) are excellent for group selfies and vlogging.
Battery and Charging
A 4,100mAh battery with 40W fast charging refills quickly — a big practical upgrade over the 22.5W/20W charging of the Nova 5 series. Real-world endurance is a comfortable full day. No wireless charging. On a used unit, ask the store about battery health before committing.
Software and Updates
The Nova 6 runs Android 10 with EMUI 10 — and it is HMS-only: no Google Play Services, as explicitly noted by spec sources. That means no Play Store, no native Gmail/Maps/YouTube apps, and many banking and ride-hailing apps will not work properly. Huawei's AppGallery and Petal Search cover the basics but not everything. Software updates are long finished, so the phone sits on old security patches.
Connectivity and Additional Features
4G LTE, dual Nano-SIM standby, dual-band Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 5.1 with aptX HD, NFC, dual-band GPS and USB-C with OTG. This variant has no 5G — for 5G you need the separate Nova 6 5G model. FM radio is not included.
Variants, Colours and Availability
The standard configuration is 8GB + 128GB in Black, Blue, Red and Provence. The Nova 6 was launched for the Chinese market in December 2019 and never got an official Pakistan release, so local units are imports. Do not confuse it with the Nova 6 5G (different chip, bigger battery) or the Nova 6 SE (mid-range Kirin 810).

Good fit: photography-first buyers who want optical zoom and a flagship chip cheap, and who can live entirely on Huawei's AppGallery without Google apps.
