Huawei Nova 5 Pro — Full Specifications, Features & Price in Pakistan

The Huawei Nova 5 Pro was the first Nova to carry the "Pro" name, and it earned it: the flagship Kirin 980 chip, a 6.39-inch OLED display, quad cameras, and 40W SuperCharge. It is the most powerful used Nova of its generation — but like the standard Nova 5, its June 2019 launch date puts Google apps in doubt. This guide covers its verified specs and the checks that matter before you buy.

Design and Build Quality

The Nova 5 Pro shares the Nova 5's slim 7.3mm glass-and-aluminium body but adds an exclusive Orange colour alongside Black, Purple, and Green. The in-display fingerprint sensor, waterdrop notch, and gradient finishes give it a genuine flagship feel. Build quality is excellent — this was priced near flagship money in 2019. As with the Nova 5, there is no 3.5mm headphone jack, so confirm whether the unit includes a USB-C audio adapter.

Display Features

The 6.39-inch OLED panel (1080 x 2340, ~403 ppi, DCI-P3 108%) is identical in class to the Nova 5's — deep blacks, vibrant colour, and TÜV Rheinland eye-comfort certification. It remains one of the best displays you'll find at this used price. 60Hz refresh only, but panel quality outweighs that for video and photo viewing.

Processor and Performance

The Kirin 980 was Huawei's 2018–2019 flagship chip (Mate 20 Pro, P30 Pro), and it is the fastest silicon in this entire article batch. In 2026 it still handles everyday use fluidly and runs demanding games at medium settings better than the Kirin 810 or 970. If raw performance in a used Huawei is your priority, the Nova 5 Pro is the top pick — comfortably ahead of the Nova 5, and far ahead of the Kirin 710 models.

RAM and Storage

8GB of RAM with a choice of 128GB or 256GB storage — the 256GB option is worth seeking out since expansion uses proprietary Nano Memory cards (up to 256GB, hybrid slot) rather than standard microSD. NM cards are expensive and hard to find in Pakistan, so buy the storage you need upfront. Verify the storage size in Settings; 256GB units command a premium.

Camera Features

The quad camera matches the Nova 5's setup: 48MP main (f/1.8, PDAF), 16MP ultrawide, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth, with 4K video and AI-powered night modes. The Kirin 980's dual NPU gives it slightly better image processing than the Nova 5. The 32MP front camera handles selfies and 1080p video well. Daylight results are strong for the price; low light is good with night mode, average without. Test all four rear lenses on used units.

Battery and Charging

3,500 mAh with 40W SuperCharge — about 85% in 30 minutes when new, the fastest charging in this batch alongside the Nova 5. Real-world endurance on a used unit is a day of moderate use; the 7nm chip is efficient, which helps. Insist on the original 40W charger in the box — without it, you lose the phone's biggest convenience feature.

Software and Updates

Android 9 Pie with EMUI 9.1, with no further major upgrades. The critical caveat, same as the Nova 5: launched June 21, 2019, after the May 16, 2019 US restrictions took effect, so Google Mobile Services are not guaranteed. Some units have Google apps working via other means, but assume nothing. Power on the actual unit and check for the Play Store yourself before paying. If certified Google apps are essential, the Nova 4e (March 2019) is the safe choice.

Connectivity and Additional Features

4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0 with aptX HD, GPS/GLONASS/BDS, USB Type-C with OTG. No 5G. NFC is listed as present by some sources (e.g. mobile-phone.pk) and absent by others (WhatMobile) — treat it as unconfirmed and check the unit. No 3.5mm headphone jack. In-display fingerprint sensor plus face unlock.

Variants, Colours and Availability

Two storage variants: 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB. Colours: Black, Purple, Green, and the Pro-exclusive Orange. Launched in China in June 2019; never officially launched in Pakistan, so all local units are imports. Don't confuse it with the standard Nova 5 (Kirin 810, 128GB only) — the Pro's Kirin 980 and 256GB option are the differentiators.

Price in Pakistan and PTA Information

Historical listings: Rs. 125,999 (WhatMobile) and Rs. 117,000 (mobile-phone.pk) — both dated, for a phone that was never officially sold here. No current new price exists. Zohaan Mobile Gallery's catalog reference is Rs. 21,999 (2026-10-01 used-condition reference — not a live market price). Confirm the actual price, storage variant, Google apps status, and included 40W charger with the store.

PTA: per-device, per-IMEI — all Pakistan units are imports, so verify carefully. SMS the IMEI to 8484 and confirm "Compliant" before paying. How to check PTA approval.

Who Should Consider This Phone?

Good fit: performance-focused buyers who want the fastest used Huawei Nova with a great OLED screen and cameras, and who have verified Google apps on the actual unit (or don't need them). The 256GB variant with 40W charging is the best-specced used Nova you can buy in this price band.

Look elsewhere if: certified Google apps are non-negotiable and you can't inspect the phone in person — or if you want a headphone jack and standard microSD. Compare all used mobiles at Zohaan Mobile Gallery.

Final Verdict

The Nova 5 Pro is the performance king of the used Nova lineup: Kirin 980 power, a beautiful OLED display, versatile quad cameras, 40W charging, and up to 256GB storage. Its price in the used market buys you 2019 flagship hardware for mid-range money. The single decisive question is Google apps — a June 2019 launch means no guarantee, so verify on the unit itself. Do that, verify PTA and the 40W charger, and this is the best used Nova you can buy. If Google certification is a must-have sight unseen, the Nova 4e is the safer, if slower, alternative.
