Huawei Nova 15 — Full Specifications, Features & Price in Pakistan

The Huawei Nova 15 is the standard model of the Nova 15 series, launched in China on 22 December 2025 as the successor to the Nova 14 line. It brings HarmonyOS 6, a bigger 6,000mAh battery, a 50MP RYYB main camera with a 3x telephoto, and the Kirin 8020 chip — all while keeping the Nova line's slim, colourful identity. Like every recent Huawei, it ships without Google services and has no official Pakistan launch, so Pakistani buyers face import-only pricing. This guide covers the verified specs and the honest trade-offs.

Key Specifications at a Glance

Design and Build Quality

The Nova 15 is slimmer and lighter than its predecessor at 161.9 x 75.5 x 7.2 mm and 196 g, with Huawei's refreshed Nova styling in Vibrant Green, Phantom Night Black, Zero Degree White and Purple. The dual rear camera sits in a cleaner module than the Pro and Ultra's dual-ring design. IP65 rating covers dust and light water jets. It feels like a deliberate refinement: same Nova DNA, tighter and lighter.

Display Features

A 6.7-inch LTPO OLED panel at 1084 x 2412 pixels (~395 ppi) with 120Hz refresh and 2160Hz PWM dimming — the high-frequency dimming is genuinely easier on the eyes in dark rooms than the flicker of cheaper panels. HDR Vivid support and 1.07 billion colours give video good punch. Peak brightness figures were not officially confirmed, so treat the outdoor visibility as good-but-not-flagship until verified on a real unit.

Processor and Performance

The Kirin 8020 (octa-core) powers the standard Nova 15 — the same chip family as the Nova 14 Pro — delivering smooth daily performance, capable camera processing, and good efficiency. Huawei does not officially publish the chip branding, so the name comes from third-party databases. It is a balanced mid-range performer: fine for everything except sustained max-settings gaming, where it trails dedicated gaming chips.

RAM and Storage

12GB of RAM with 256GB or 512GB of internal storage is the full lineup — no smaller configuration exists, which is generous for a base model. Multitasking, large photo libraries and offline video are all comfortable. There is no microSD slot, so pick 512GB if you shoot a lot of video; you cannot add storage later.

Camera Features

The dual rear camera pairs a 50MP RYYB main sensor (f/1.9, PDAF) with a 12MP telephoto offering 3x optical zoom and OIS — a proper zoom lens on the base model is a genuine upgrade over the Nova 14's approach. A 1.5MP multispectral colour sensor (per gadgets360 and techjuice.pk) assists white balance. The single 50MP front camera (f/2.4, ultrawide) continues the Nova selfie tradition, and 4K video with gyro-EIS and HDR Vivid is supported front and rear.

Battery and Charging

The 6,000mAh battery is a meaningful jump from the Nova 14's 5,500mAh, and with the efficient LTPO panel it should comfortably cover a full heavy day — light users may see two. 100W wired charging refills it fast, and 5W reverse wired charging tops up accessories. No wireless charging on the standard model.

Software and Updates

HarmonyOS 6.0 with Huawei Mobile Services and AppGallery — no Google Mobile Services. Google Play, Gmail, YouTube and Maps do not work natively, and Pakistani banking and government apps may not run. HarmonyOS 6 adds smoother animations, better privacy controls and deep Huawei-ecosystem integration, but none of that replaces GMS for a typical Pakistani user. Check your must-have apps on AppGallery before buying; no update commitment for imported units is published.

Connectivity and Additional Features

5G (SA/NSA) and 4G LTE on dual nano-SIM, Wi-Fi up to Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0 with L2HC HD audio, NFC, full multi-GNSS positioning, infrared blaster, and USB Type-C 2.0 with OTG. Stereo speakers, no 3.5mm jack, no FM radio. The fingerprint sensor is side-mounted on the standard model — a practical choice that works reliably with cases.

Variants, Colours and Availability

China-market variants: 12GB + 256GB at CNY 2,699 and 12GB + 512GB at CNY 2,999, in Vibrant Green, Phantom Night Black, Zero Degree White and Purple. Huawei has not announced an international release, so Pakistan only sees imported units — PTA tax status, warranty and colour availability all depend on the seller.

Price in Pakistan and PTA Information

The Pakistan figure is an expected Rs. 143,999 for the 12GB + 256GB variant (mobileinto.com, verified 2026-10-11) — an unofficial import estimate, not an official price, and the 512GB variant is expected around Rs. 159,999. Import prices swing with the rupee, so confirm the latest figure with Zohaan Mobile Gallery before buying. Do not confuse it with the Nova 15 Pro or Ultra.

PTA: PTA approval applies per device and IMEI, not per model. Before paying, send the phone's IMEI to 8484 and confirm "Compliant" status. How to check PTA approval.

Google apps: none of the Nova 14 or Nova 15 series phones ship with Google Mobile Services. They run HarmonyOS with Huawei Mobile Services and the AppGallery store only — Google Play, Gmail, YouTube, and Maps do not work natively. Some Pakistani banking and government apps may also refuse to run without GMS. Treat this as the single biggest buying consideration.

The Nova 15 is the most well-rounded base Nova yet — bigger battery, real 3x zoom, slim 196 g body, and HarmonyOS 6. At an expected Rs. 143,999 it is fairly priced against its hardware. The verdict hinges on one question: can you live without Google services? If yes, it is a strong buy; if no, no spec sheet will fix that.
