Huawei Nova 14 — Full Specifications, Features & Price in Pakistan

The Huawei Nova 14, launched in May 2025, is the current generation of the Nova line and the first to ship with HarmonyOS 5.0 — alongside a 6.7-inch OLED display, a triple camera with a 3x telephoto, a 50MP selfie camera, and a larger 5,500mAh battery with 100W charging. It refines the Nova 13 formula rather than reinventing it. This guide covers its verified specifications and Pakistan pricing.

Design and Build Quality

At 161.7 x 75.5 x 7.2 mm and 192 grams, the Nova 14 is slimmer and lighter than the Nova 13 Pro while gaining battery capacity — Huawei's design team earned their pay here. The rear panel uses a cloth-like strip texture with the signature triple-camera group, blending Nova 12 and 13 design cues. Aluminosilicate glass covers the front, and the build carries an IP65 rating for dust and low-pressure water jets. Listed colours are Black, White and Blue.

Display Features

The 6.7-inch OLED runs at 1084 x 2412 (~395 ppi) with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, HDR Vivid support, one-billion-colour output and a rated 1,100 nits of high-brightness-mode luminance. High-frequency 2160Hz PWM dimming is listed on some sources, which reduces flicker at low brightness — good news for night-time readers. In practice: bright, smooth and colour-rich, a flagship-class panel for the tier.

Processor and Performance

The Kirin 8000 (7 nm octa-core, up to 2.4 GHz, Mali-G610 MP4 GPU) is carried over from the Nova 13 series — listed by secondary sources, as Huawei does not publish chip branding. It handles everyday multitasking, photography and moderate gaming comfortably, though heavy 3D gaming is not its forte. The generation's bigger leaps are software (HarmonyOS 5) and battery, not silicon. These are manufacturer-listed specifications, not tested benchmarks.

RAM and Storage

12GB RAM with 256GB or 512GB of internal storage — generous RAM for the tier, keeping multitasking and camera processing smooth. No card slot and no 1TB tier this time (the 1TB option was reserved for the Pro/Ultra), so pick your storage at purchase. 12GB is a clear advantage over 8GB rivals.

Camera Features

The rear triple camera pairs a 50MP wide sensor (f/1.9, 1/1.56-inch, Dual Pixel PDAF) with a 12MP telephoto (3x optical zoom, OIS) and an 8MP autofocus ultra-wide (112°) — bringing optical zoom to the standard Nova for the first time. A colour-spectrum sensor aids colour accuracy. The front is a 50MP selfie camera (f/2.4) with HDR, panorama and 4K video with gyro-EIS — continuing Huawei's selfie-first Nova positioning. 4K video with gyro-EIS is supported on both sides.

Battery and Charging

The 5,500mAh battery is the largest ever in a standard Nova, and with 100W wired SuperCharge it refills very quickly. Combined with the efficient chip and 120Hz adaptive display, this is the best battery story the Nova line has had — easily a full day, with fast top-ups when needed. 5W reverse wired charging is included. No wireless charging.

Software and Updates

The Nova 14 ships with HarmonyOS 5.0 — Huawei's latest OS generation — with Huawei Mobile Services and AppGallery, and no Google Play Services. HarmonyOS 5 brings deeper AI photo tools (best-expression selection, object removal, AI beauty) but the ecosystem reality is unchanged: Google-dependent apps (some banking apps, Google Pay, games tied to Google login) can be problematic. Verify your must-have apps in AppGallery before buying. No official update commitment for Pakistan/imported units was verified.

Connectivity and Additional Features

5G (SA/NSA), Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 with A2DP/LE/L2HC HD audio, NFC, infrared port, and multi-constellation positioning (GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, BeiDou, QZSS). Under-display optical fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, ambient light, compass, gyroscope and colour-temperature sensor. No 3.5mm jack, no FM radio.

Variants, Colours and Availability

Verified variants: 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB. Colours: Black, White, Blue. The Nova 14 was not officially launched in Pakistan as of the verification date; it has launched in other Asian markets (e.g. the Philippines in late 2025), so local units are imported. Confirm the exact variant and box contents before paying. Do not confuse with the Nova 14 Pro (dual front cameras, larger display), Nova 14 Ultra (periscope telephoto) or the Nova 14 Vitality Edition (different model, 66W charging).

Price in Pakistan and PTA Information

No official Pakistan price exists. Listing estimates include Rs. 127,999 (softliee comparison listings, July 2026) and Rs. 111,000 (hi94, price listing) — a wide spread typical of imported-unit pricing with no official anchor. Confirm the current price with Zohaan Mobile Gallery before buying.

PTA: PTA approval applies per device and IMEI, not per model, and imported units may carry additional PTA tax. Before paying, send the phone's IMEI to 8484 and confirm "Compliant" status. How to check PTA approval.

Final Verdict

The Nova 14 is the polished current generation: HarmonyOS 5, optical zoom on the standard model, a 50MP selfie camera and a 5,500mAh battery in a slim IP65 body. The honest caveat is the unchanged Kirin 8000 — this is refinement, not a performance leap — plus the ever-present HMS-only ecosystem and no official Pakistan launch. If you want the newest Nova and value cameras and battery over raw speed, it is the right pick; bargain hunters will find the Nova 13 close behind.
