Huawei Nova 12 Ultra — Full Specifications, Features & Price in Pakistan

The Huawei Nova 12 Ultra is the top of the Nova 12 family, building on the Nova 12 Pro with second-generation Kunlun Glass, storage options up to 1TB, and BeiDou satellite messaging on a near-identical body. It shares the Kirin 9000S chip, the 6.76-inch LTPO OLED and the dual front cameras with the Pro — the differences are durability, storage and messaging. This guide covers its verified specifications and Pakistan pricing.

Design and Build Quality

The Ultra shares the Pro's 163.1 x 75 x 7.7 mm footprint but weighs slightly less at 198 grams and uses second-generation Kunlun Glass on the front — Huawei's tougher drop-resistant glass, also used on its Mate flagships. The back uses an eco-leather (silicone polymer) finish on some variants, which resists fingerprints better than plain glass. China-market colours were Black, Blue and White.

Display Features

Same 6.76-inch LTPO OLED as the Pro: 1224 x 2776 resolution (~449 ppi), 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, HDR, and one-billion-colour output. The meaningful difference is the Kunlun Glass covering it, giving better scratch and drop resistance than standard cover glass. Colour accuracy, brightness and smoothness are flagship-grade.

Processor and Performance

The Kirin 9000S (7 nm octa-core, up to 2.62 GHz Taishan cores, Maleoon 910 MP4 GPU) matches the Nova 12 Pro — flagship-class 2023 performance for gaming, multitasking and 4K video work. The 12GB RAM on the 1TB variant gives extra headroom for heavy multitaskers, a genuine advantage over the 8GB-only Pro. These are manufacturer-listed specifications, not tested benchmark results.

RAM and Storage

Two configurations: 8GB RAM with 512GB storage, or 12GB RAM with 1TB storage. No microSD slot, so the 1TB tier is the answer for anyone who shoots large volumes of 4K video. The 12GB option is the only Nova 12-series phone above 8GB RAM — the clearest reason to choose Ultra over Pro.

Camera Features

Identical camera hardware to the Nova 12 Pro: a 50MP wide rear sensor with variable aperture (f/1.4–4.0), Laser AF and PDAF, paired with an 8MP autofocus ultra-wide (112°); up front, a 60MP ultra-wide selfie camera with autofocus plus an 8MP portrait lens with 2x optical zoom. 4K video with gyro-EIS on both sides. If you already know the Pro's cameras, the Ultra changes nothing photographically — the upgrade is glass, RAM/storage and satellite messaging.

Battery and Charging

The 4,600mAh battery with 100W wired SuperCharge and 5W reverse wired charging matches the Pro. Fast charging is again the compensation for the modest capacity — manufacturer figures suggest a very quick top-up from low battery. No wireless charging is listed.

Software and Updates

HarmonyOS 4.0 with Huawei Mobile Services — no Google Play Services, identical in practice to the Pro: AppGallery covers many popular apps, but Google-dependent apps (some banking apps, Google Pay, certain games) may not work properly. A China-exclusive hardware feature, BeiDou satellite calling and messaging, ships on this model but has no practical use outside China — do not treat it as a buying reason in Pakistan. No official update commitment was verified for Pakistan/imported units.

Connectivity and Additional Features

5G (SA/NSA), Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 with L2HC HD audio, NFC with NFC-SIM/HCE, and full multi-constellation positioning including dual-band GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo, QZSS and NavIC. Under-display optical fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, gyro, compass and colour-spectrum sensor. No 3.5mm jack, no FM radio.

Variants, Colours and Availability

Verified variants: 8GB + 512GB and 12GB + 1TB. China colours: Black, Blue, White. Like the rest of the series, there was no official Pakistan launch, so local units are imported — confirm RAM/storage markings, box contents and charger compatibility before paying. Do not confuse with the Nova 12 Pro (less RAM/storage, no Kunlun Glass) or the Nova 13 Pro (newer generation, different chip).

Price in Pakistan and PTA Information

No official Pakistan price exists. priceupdate.com.pk listed Rs. 186,000 (17 October 2025) for the Ultra, while gsmfloor.pk listed Rs. 189,600 and mobileinto showed expected figures starting near Rs. 158,000 — the spread reflects imported-unit pricing, not an official tag. Confirm the current price with Zohaan Mobile Gallery before buying.

PTA: PTA approval applies per device and IMEI, not per model, and imported units may carry additional PTA tax. Before paying, send the phone's IMEI to 8484 and confirm "Compliant" status. How to check PTA approval.

Final Verdict

The Nova 12 Ultra is the fully-loaded Nova 12: everything the Pro offers, plus tougher glass, 12GB RAM and a 1TB option. It is aimed at buyers who want the maximum Huawei could put in a Nova — at a correspondingly higher listed price. The same caveats apply as the Pro: no Google services, no official Pakistan launch, and satellite features that stay dormant outside China. Buy it for the storage and glass, not the messaging.
