Huawei Nova 12 Price in Pakistan & Specs (Kirin)
Huawei Nova 12 — Full Specifications, Features & Price in Pakistan
The Huawei Nova 12, launched in China in December 2023, marks Huawei's return to in-house silicon in the Nova line: the Kirin 8000 — Huawei's first new mid-range chip after the US sanctions era, following the Mate 60's Kirin 9000S. Around it sits a 6.7-inch 120Hz OLED, the family's signature 60MP 4K selfie camera, and 100W charging on a 4,600mAh battery. One important correction up front: despite some listing sites showing 5G, Huawei's own disclosures confirm the Kirin 8000 is a 4G chip. This guide covers the verified specs and the Pakistan price picture.

Design and Build Quality
A slim flat-edged phone at 7mm thin and 191g, with a flat 6.7-inch OLED and an in-display fingerprint reader. Launch colours were Black, Blue, and White, including Huawei's Colour No.12 and Cherry White finishes. The design language carries over the Nova 11 family's camera-ring module.
Display Features
The 6.7-inch flat OLED panel runs at 120Hz with 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming — Huawei's eye-comfort technology that reduces visible flicker at low brightness, a genuine plus for night reading. Resolution is 1084 x 2412 with HDR support. Flat, sharp, smooth, and easy on the eyes.
Processor and Performance
The Kirin 8000 is Huawei's new 4G mid-range chip (1+3+4 core configuration) with a Mali-G610 GPU, paired with 8GB RAM. Performance targets the upper mid-range — comparable in practice to the Snapdragon 778G it replaces in the lineup — with better efficiency claims. As Huawei's first post-sanctions mid-range silicon, long-term driver and update support is a watch item rather than a guarantee.
RAM and Storage
8GB RAM with 256GB or 512GB of internal storage. No microSD slot, so choose at purchase — 512GB is generous for camera-heavy users.
Camera Features
The rear dual camera pairs a 50MP RYYB main sensor (f/1.9) with laser autofocus and an 8MP ultra-wide (f/2.2, 112°), recording 4K. The front keeps the Nova family's headline feature: a 60MP ultra-wide (100° FoV) selfie camera with 4K@30fps video — still one of the best selfie cameras on any mid-range phone.
Battery and Charging
A 4,600mAh battery with 100W wired charging and a 100W adapter in the box — the fastest charging ever on a standard Nova, filling the phone in minutes. 5W reverse wired charging is included. No wireless charging.
Software and Updates
Ships with HarmonyOS 4.0, Huawei's latest OS generation at launch, with the revamped notification centre and Live Window. Important: This is a Huawei device with no Google Play Services — it runs on Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) with the AppGallery store. Google apps such as Gmail, YouTube, and Google Maps do not work out of the box and require workarounds that many buyers find unreliable. Factor this in before buying. As a China-market phone, the system language and app region defaults may need configuring on the unit itself.
Connectivity and Additional Features
Dual Nano-SIM 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, infrared, and USB Type-C. No 3.5mm jack, no FM radio — and no 5G, per Huawei's own Kirin 8000 disclosure, regardless of what some listing sites claim.
Variants, Colours and Availability
The Nova 12 launched in China in 8GB + 256GB (CNY 2,999) and 8GB + 512GB (CNY 3,399) variants, in Black, Blue, and White. It had no official Pakistan launch — Pakistan stock is grey import. Do not confuse it with the Nova 12 Pro (6.78-inch curved screen, dual front cameras) or the Nova 12 Ultra (variable aperture, satellite messaging).
Price in Pakistan and PTA Information
Pakistan listings priced the Nova 12 at Rs. 119,900 (priceupdate.com.pk, dated 17 October 2025) with spec.pk listing an expected Rs. 119,999 — dated estimates, not verified current market prices. The store's catalog reference is Rs. 119,900 (catalog reference only). Grey-import pricing for China models moves with the exchange rate, so confirm the current live price with Zohaan Mobile Gallery before buying.
PTA: PTA approval applies per device and IMEI, not per model. Before paying, send the phone's IMEI to 8484 and confirm "Compliant" status. How to check PTA approval and how to check your IMEI.
