Huawei Nova 10 Youth — Full Specifications, Features & Price in Pakistan

The Huawei Nova 10 Youth is the entry-level member of the Nova 10 family, launched in China in March 2023 as the most affordable model in the lineup. Its headline attraction is a 108MP quad camera on a phone priced around CNY 1,699 in its home market, paired with a large 6.78-inch display and 66W fast charging. It was never officially launched outside China, so units reaching Pakistan come through the import/second-hand market. This guide covers the verified specifications, what the lack of Google services means for daily use, and the realistic price picture — so you can judge this phone on facts.

Key Specifications at a Glance

Design and Build Quality

The Nova 10 Youth carries the slim Nova 10 series look with a flat 6.78-inch front and a 7.9mm profile. At 191g it is neither featherweight nor heavy for its screen size. The fingerprint reader sits on the side power button rather than under the display. The back panel comes in Crystal Blue or Midnight Black. Listed dimensions are 164.6 x 75.6 x 7.9mm. Third-party retailer listings describe the phone as splash and dust resistant, but Huawei's own launch materials did not give it a formal IP rating — do not treat it as water-proof.

Display Features

The 6.78-inch panel uses IPS LCD technology at FHD+ resolution (2388 x 1080, ~387 ppi) with a 90Hz refresh rate — note this is a downgrade from the OLED panels on the Nova 10 SE, which is how Huawei cut the price. In plain terms: the screen is big and reasonably sharp for video and social feeds, and 90Hz keeps scrolling smooth, but blacks will look greyer than an OLED screen and peak brightness is modest outdoors.

Processor and Performance

The Snapdragon 680 (6nm) is an efficiency-focused octa-core chip running up to 2.4 GHz. It handles daily use — WhatsApp, browsing, YouTube, multitasking with 8GB RAM — comfortably. It is not a gaming processor: demanding 3D titles will run only at reduced settings and frame rates. Compared with the Snapdragon 778G in the Nova 11, this is a clear step down in raw power.

RAM and Storage

The phone ships with 8GB of RAM as standard and either 128GB or 256GB of internal storage. 8GB keeps everyday multitasking smooth. There is no microSD slot, so pick your storage at purchase — with camera apps and video, 256GB is the safer long-term choice.

Camera Features

The rear setup is the phone's selling point: a 108MP main sensor (f/1.9) joined by an 8MP ultra-wide, a 2MP macro, and a 2MP depth sensor. Daylight shots carry strong detail thanks to the high-resolution sensor; the macro and depth units are token additions rather than cameras you will use often. The 16MP front camera is adequate for video calls and selfies but plain next to the 60MP selfie cameras on the Nova 11 series. Video tops out at 1080p@30fps on both sides.

Battery and Charging

A 4,000mAh battery is on the smaller side for a 6.78-inch phone in 2026 — expect a full day of moderate use but not two. The compensation is 66W fast charging, advertised to reach 60% in about 15 minutes, so short top-ups recover a lot of runtime. A charger must be confirmed in the box at purchase — confirm with the store before buying.

Software and Updates

The Nova 10 Youth launched on HarmonyOS 2.0, and Huawei's older Nova 10 series updates have been limited since. Important: This is a Huawei device with no Google Play Services — it runs on Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) with the AppGallery store. Google apps such as Gmail, YouTube, and Google Maps do not work out of the box and require workarounds that many buyers find unreliable. Factor this in before buying. Check the box language and app region compatibility if you rely on specific banking or government apps — some are unavailable or restricted on HarmonyOS 2.0 units.

Connectivity and Additional Features

Supports 4G LTE on both SIM slots (Nano-SIM, dual stand-by), Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, and USB Type-C. NFC was not confirmed by Huawei's launch materials — third-party listings disagree — so do not count on contactless payments. There is no 3.5mm headphone jack and no 5G, now or later.

Variants, Colours and Availability

The Nova 10 Youth was a China-market phone (model JLN-AL00) sold in 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB variants, in Crystal Blue and Midnight Black. It never had an official Pakistan launch, so stock here is import/second-hand stock. Regional ambiguity matters: China units may ship with Chinese-language apps and limited update channels — inspect the actual unit's language and software before buying.

Price in Pakistan and PTA Information

No verified current Pakistan retail price was found for this model — it is discontinued and China-only, so new-box prices in Pakistan are dealer-dependent. The store's catalog lists a reference price of Rs. 74,999; treat that strictly as a catalog reference, not a live market price. Second-hand China-market units trade at whatever the import market sets, so confirm the exact price, accessories, and box contents with Zohaan Mobile Gallery before buying.

PTA: PTA approval applies per device and IMEI, not per model. Before paying, send the phone's IMEI to 8484 and confirm "Compliant" status. How to check PTA approval and how to check your IMEI.

Main Advantages and Limitations

Advantages:

• 108MP main camera on a budget-class Nova phone
• Large 6.78-inch display with 90Hz refresh rate
• 66W fast charging refills the 4,000mAh battery quickly
• Slim 7.9mm body with side fingerprint and dual SIM

Limitations:

• No Google Play Services — AppGallery only
• IPS LCD instead of the OLED on pricier Nova siblings
• Snapdragon 680 is modest for gaming
• China-only model — regional software ambiguity and no official local warranty

Who Should Consider This Phone?

Good fit: budget buyers who want a big screen and a high-resolution camera badge for social media and daily use, and who are comfortable with Huawei's AppGallery instead of Google Play.

Look elsewhere if: you depend on Google apps or banking apps that refuse to run on HarmonyOS 2.0, or you want an officially PTA-backed retail unit — in that case browse all mobiles instead.

Final Verdict

The Nova 10 Youth is a China-market curiosity rather than a mainstream Pakistan pick: the 108MP camera and big screen are appealing, but no Google services, an LCD panel, and China-only software make it a niche choice. If you can live with AppGallery and get a clean IMEI-checked unit at a fair price, it is a serviceable big-screen daily driver — otherwise the Nova 11 series offers a more complete package.
