Huawei Enjoy Z 5G — Full Specifications, Features & Price in Pakistan

The Huawei Enjoy Z 5G is a China-only 5G mid-ranger launched in May 2020, built on MediaTek's Dimensity 800 with a 90Hz display and a 48MP triple camera. It is also the first phone in this batch with a hard dealbreaker for most Pakistani buyers: launched after the US trade restrictions, it has no Google Play Services — HMS and AppGallery only. Every unit in Pakistan is a grey or used import. This guide covers the verified specifications and the app-compatibility reality you must understand before buying.

Key Specifications at a Glance

Design and Build Quality

A conventional 2020 mid-range slab at a comfortable 182 g, with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button for fast unlocking. The Breathing Crystal colourway carries the gradient finish typical of the era. There is no IP water-resistance rating and the frame is plastic — nothing flashy, nothing wrong.

Display Features

The 6.5-inch IPS LCD runs at 1080 x 2400 with a 90Hz refresh rate — smooth scrolling is the standout here, and it was rare at this price in 2020. Being LCD rather than OLED, contrast and blacks trail OLED rivals, but sharpness (~405 ppi) and motion smoothness make it pleasant for daily use and gaming.

Processor and Performance

The Dimensity 800 (7nm: 4x Cortex-A76 at 2.0 GHz + 4x Cortex-A55 at 2.0 GHz, Mali-G57MP4 GPU) was MediaTek's well-regarded 2020 5G chip — efficient and genuinely capable for everyday use and moderate gaming. It is the strongest chipset in this nine-model batch by a clear margin, and the 7nm process keeps heat and battery drain in check.

RAM and Storage

6GB or 8GB of RAM is paired with 64GB or 128GB of storage. Expansion uses Huawei's proprietary Nano Memory card in the shared SIM slot — not a standard microSD — so factor that into your buying decision. The 8GB/128GB version is the one to hunt for on the used market.

Camera Features

The triple setup — 48MP main (f/1.8, PDAF), 8MP ultrawide (120°), 2MP macro — is versatile on paper, with 4K@30fps video recording. Daylight shots from the main sensor are good; the ultrawide is genuinely useful; the 2MP macro is mostly decorative. The 16MP front camera (f/2.0) handles selfies and video calls well. Low-light performance is average for the class — decent, not exceptional.

Battery and Charging

4,000mAh with 22.5W wired fast charging over USB Type-C — respectable for 2020, delivering a full day of typical use when new. On a 2020-vintage used unit, battery wear is the first thing to check during your 7-day window. There is no wireless charging.

Software and Updates

Android 10 with EMUI 10.1 — and this is the critical part: no Google Play Services, confirmed across multiple spec sources. You get Huawei Mobile Services and AppGallery instead. That means no native Gmail, Google Maps, YouTube app, or Play Store, and many Pakistani banking and government apps either do not work or need workarounds. WhatsApp can be installed via AppGallery and other channels, but verify every app you depend on — on the actual device — before buying. No official upgrade path beyond EMUI 10.1 was verified.

Connectivity and Additional Features

5G is supported (bands 1/38/41/77/78/79 — China-oriented), though Pakistan has no commercial 5G networks yet, so this is future-proofing at best; 4G LTE works as normal. You also get a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, 3.5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth 5.1, dual-band Wi-Fi, GPS/GLONASS/BDS, and USB Type-C with OTG. NFC is not present.

Variants, Colours and Availability

China variants: 6GB + 64GB, 6GB + 128GB, and 8GB + 128GB (model DVC-AN00). It was never released outside China under this name, so any unit in Pakistan is an import with no local warranty channel. Colours: Breathing Crystal, Midnight Black, Dark Blue.

Price in Pakistan and PTA Information

Discontinued and never officially sold in Pakistan. Online estimates are scattered — Rs. 38,500 (mobile-phone.pk, older listing), Rs. 46,250 (pinpack.pk), Rs. 64,000 (pricehai), Rs. 71,176 (mobgadgets) — reflecting a thin, inconsistent grey market rather than a real going price. Treat all of these as historical estimates and confirm the current price with Zohaan Mobile Gallery. PTA: PTA approval applies per device and IMEI, not per model. Before paying, send the phone's IMEI to 8484 and confirm "Compliant" status. How to check PTA approval. Grey-market units are frequently non-compliant. Used phones from Zohaan Mobile Gallery carry a 7-day check warranty.

Who Should Consider This Phone?

Good fit: Only for buyers who fully understand and accept the HMS-only ecosystem — for example, someone who wants cheap 5G-capable hardware and lives mostly in a browser plus a handful of AppGallery apps. Verify your must-have apps on the device first.

Look elsewhere if: Anyone dependent on Google apps, Pakistani banking apps, or Google-dependent services should not buy this. Also skip it if you expect software updates or any official support.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Huawei Enjoy Z 5G price in Pakistan?

There is no official price — it was never launched here and is discontinued. Pakistani site estimates range from Rs. 38,500 to Rs. 71,176 depending on site and date, which shows how thin the grey market is. Confirm the current store price with Zohaan Mobile Gallery.

Does the Enjoy Z 5G have Google Play Store?

No. It launched in May 2020, after the US trade restrictions, and ships with Huawei Mobile Services only. There is no official way to add Google Play Services.

Can I install WhatsApp and banking apps on it?

WhatsApp is available through AppGallery and other channels, but banking and government apps vary — some work, some do not. Verify each critical app on the actual device before paying.

Does it support 5G in Pakistan?

The hardware supports 5G (bands 1/38/41/77/78/79), but Pakistan has no commercial 5G networks yet — so it works as a 4G phone for now.

What processor, RAM, and storage does it have?

MediaTek Dimensity 800 5G (7nm), 6GB or 8GB of RAM, and 64GB or 128GB of storage — expandable via Huawei's proprietary Nano Memory card (not standard microSD).

What is its battery capacity and charging speed?

4,000mAh with 22.5W wired fast charging over USB Type-C. No wireless charging.

Is it PTA approved?

PTA status is per-device, not per-model — and grey-market units are often non-compliant. Check the specific unit's IMEI via SMS to 8484 before purchase.

Is it available at Zohaan Mobile Gallery?

Final Verdict

The Enjoy Z 5G is the best hardware in this batch — 5G, 90Hz, 48MP triple camera — trapped in the worst software situation for a Pakistani buyer. If you live outside Google's ecosystem, it is a bargain 5G phone; for everyone else, the missing Play Services is disqualifying. Verify your apps, your IMEI (8484), and the battery before even considering it.
