Design and Build Quality

At 5.45 inches and 142 grams, the 8e Youth is the smallest and lightest phone in this whole article set — genuinely one-hand friendly. The metal-framed body (per listings) keeps it sturdy despite the entry price. No water or dust resistance rating was confirmed. This is a phone designed to be cheap, small, and simple.

Display Features

The 5.45-inch IPS LCD at 720 x 1440 in 18:9 ratio looks acceptable at this size — the small panel hides the modest resolution well enough for video and reading. Colours and brightness are basic. There is no confirmed screen protection glass type, and the panel is LCD, not AMOLED, so blacks are grey in the dark.

Processor and Performance

The MediaTek MT6739 — a quad-core 1.5 GHz chip — is the weakest processor in the Enjoy 8 family, paired with only 2GB of RAM. This combination handles calls, SMS, and light WhatsApp use; anything beyond that will feel slow in 2026. Note that listings disagree on the GPU (PowerVR GE8100 vs GE1800), so no graphics claims are made. Do not buy this phone expecting to run modern games or heavy apps.

RAM and Storage

2GB of RAM with 32GB of storage is the only configuration, expandable via microSD up to 256GB. 2GB of RAM is the practical floor for a smartphone in 2026 — the phone will keep few apps in memory and reload often. The card slot is essential here; the 32GB base fills quickly with app updates.

Camera Features

A single 13MP rear camera with dual LED flash — no depth sensor, so no portrait bokeh mode on this model. Daylight snapshots are passable; the 5MP front camera covers video calls and basic selfies. Low-light performance is poor, as expected at this level. The camera records 1080p video per listings.

Battery and Charging

A 3,020mAh battery pairs with a low-power chip and small screen — when new, that meant a comfortable full day of light use. On a used unit, battery age matters more than capacity; test before buying. Fast charging was not confirmed; expect standard charging. No wireless charging.

Software and Updates

Android 8.1 Oreo with EMUI 8.0 at launch, and no updates since — the phone is far outside any support window. Many current apps will not install on Android 8.1. Treat this as a calls-and-messaging device: verify your must-have apps (WhatsApp, banking) work before paying.

Connectivity and Additional Features

4G LTE, dual SIM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, FM radio, and a 3.5mm headphone jack per listings. No 5G. NFC, fingerprint sensor, and USB port type were not reliably confirmed — do not assume a fingerprint reader on this model; listings are inconsistent. Confirm biometrics in person if they matter to you.

Variants, Colours and Availability

Verified variant: 2GB + 32GB only. Colours per listings: black, gold, blue. A China-market entry model, never officially launched in Pakistan and long discontinued. Pakistan listing data is thin — one listing shows Rs. 13,000 while another expects ~Rs. 37,616 — so price discovery must happen with the seller directly.

Price in Pakistan and PTA Information

Price: Pakistan listings conflict sharply: Rs. 13,000 (pinpack.pk) versus ~Rs. 37,616 expected (giznext) — both October 2026. The lower figure matches an entry-level used phone better, but with data this thin, confirm the real price with Zohaan Mobile Gallery rather than trusting either listing.

PTA: PTA approval applies per device and IMEI, not per model. Verify the unit's IMEI by SMS to 8484 before purchase. How to check PTA approval. Used units at Zohaan Mobile Gallery carry a 7-day check warranty.

• No dual camera, no portrait mode; basic 5MP front camera
• Biometrics and NFC unconfirmed — may lack a fingerprint sensor

Final Verdict

The 8e Youth is the cheapest and weakest of the Enjoy 8 family — fine as a disposable calls-and-WhatsApp phone at its low listing price, but 2GB RAM and Android 8.1 make it the hardest to recommend for anything more. Verify apps, biometrics, and IMEI in person before spending anything on it.
