Huawei Enjoy 5s — Full Specifications, Features & Price in Pakistan

The Huawei Enjoy 5s was the premium-feeling sibling of the Enjoy 5: launched in December 2015, it added a metal body, a rear fingerprint sensor — rare in budget phones then — and a slimmer 7.6 mm profile, while shrinking the battery to 2,200mAh. A decade later it's strictly a used-market curiosity. This guide documents its original specifications and explains the narrow cases where buying one still makes sense.

Key Specifications at a Glance

Design and Build Quality

The 5s earned its 's' with a metal unibody at just 7.6 mm thick and 135 g — genuinely slim and light, in Gold or Silver. The rear-mounted fingerprint sensor was its standout feature in 2015, when most budget phones still used PINs. A decade on, the metal body ages better cosmetically than plastic rivals, but check for dents around the edges and a worn fingerprint sensor on used units.

Display Features

A 5.0-inch IPS LCD at 720 x 1280 (~294 ppi) — sharp enough for its size, with decent colour for the era. Brightness is modest by modern standards, so outdoor visibility is poor. On a used unit, inspect for screen burn-in-like discolouration and touch dead zones; replacement screens for a 2015 model are hard to source, so the display must be perfect at purchase.

Processor and Performance

The MediaTek MT6753T is an octa-core 1.5 GHz chip (28nm) with Mali-T720MP3 graphics — a small step up from the Enjoy 5's quad-core MT6735, but still a 2015 chip. It handles calls, SMS, FM radio, and offline music fine. Modern apps — browsers, YouTube, WhatsApp's current builds — will lag badly or refuse to install on Android 5.1. This is a basic-use chip, nothing more.

RAM and Storage

2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, with the saving grace of a dedicated microSDXC slot (no shared-SIM compromise). The dedicated slot is genuinely useful: you can run dual SIMs and still expand storage. But 2GB RAM in 2026 means constant app reloading, and 16GB internal storage fills up with system data alone — keep expectations minimal.

Camera Features

A 13MP f/2.0 rear camera with autofocus and LED flash, plus a 5MP front camera; video at 1080p@30fps. Daylight stills are usable for casual documentation, but dynamic range is narrow and low-light shots are noisy. The camera was mid-pack in 2015 and is thoroughly outclassed by any modern budget phone — buy the 5s for its form factor, never for photography.

Battery and Charging

The compromise that defined the 5s: a slim metal body meant only a 2,200mAh battery, half the Enjoy 5's capacity. Even when new it needed nightly charging; on a decade-old used unit, expect a few hours of active use at best. Check for swelling (a lifting back panel is the tell) and sudden percentage drops. A repair shop may be able to fit a replacement cell, but factor that cost in before buying.

Software and Updates

Android 5.1.1 with EMUI 3.1 Lite — and since it predates the 2019 restrictions, it includes Google Play Services. That sounds good until you remember Android 5.1 lost security updates years ago and most current apps have dropped support for it. Practical rule: calls, SMS, FM radio, alarm clock, offline music — yes. Banking, email with sensitive data, or anything requiring modern web standards — no.

Connectivity and Additional Features

Dual SIM (Nano + Micro) with 4G LTE on bands 1, 3, 38, 39, 40, 41 — note the heavy TDD-LTE skew toward Chinese carriers, so test your Pakistani SIM's 4G before buying. Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, FM radio, 3.5mm jack, and microUSB. No NFC. The rear fingerprint sensor still works for basic unlocking, though it's slower than modern sensors.

Variants, Colours and Availability

Sold as the TAG-AL00, TAG-TL00, TAG-L22, TAG-L01, TAG-L13, and TAG-L23 — regional variants of the same hardware with different band mixes. All are China-market in origin. In Pakistan you'll encounter used imports; the exact model number (printed under the battery cover area or in Settings > About phone) tells you which bands you're getting.

Price in Pakistan and PTA Information

As a discontinued 2015 phone, the Enjoy 5s has no current market price — a working unit's value is set by condition, battery state, and PTA registration, and should be a small fraction of any catalog figure. Zohaan Mobile Gallery's catalog carries a reference of Rs. 44,000 from its October 2026 import, which is not a verified live price for a decade-old used phone. If one is in stock, WhatsApp the store with the unit's condition and IMEI — and negotiate as the used curiosity it is.

PTA: PTA approval applies per device and IMEI, not per model. Before paying, send the phone's IMEI to 8484 and confirm "Compliant" status. How to check PTA approval.

Main Advantages and Limitations

Advantages:

• Slim metal unibody (7.6 mm, 135 g) — premium feel for a 2015 budget phone
• Rear fingerprint sensor, rare in its price class at launch
• Dedicated microSD slot — dual SIM plus storage expansion
• Pre-2019 Huawei with Google Play Services included

Limitations:

• Tiny 2,200mAh battery — and a decade old on any used unit
• Android 5.1.1 is obsolete with no security updates
• MT6753T chip can't handle modern apps smoothly
• Discontinued: no parts, no updates, band mix skewed to Chinese carriers

Who Should Consider This Phone?

Good fit: collectors of 2015-era phones; someone wanting the cheapest possible fingerprint-unlock backup handset; a basic calls-and-FM-radio device where the slim metal body matters.

Look elsewhere if: you need a daily driver, all-day battery, or current apps — this phone can't deliver any of those in 2026. Read how to buy a used mobile safely and consider newer budget options.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the price of Huawei Enjoy 5s in Pakistan?

No verified current price — it's a discontinued 2015 model available only used. Value depends on condition and PTA status; confirm with Zohaan Mobile Gallery.

What is the difference between Enjoy 5 and Enjoy 5s?

The 5s has a slimmer metal body (7.6 mm), a rear fingerprint sensor, and a faster octa-core MT6753T chip — but a much smaller 2,200mAh battery versus the Enjoy 5's 4,000mAh.

Does it have a fingerprint sensor?

Yes — a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, which was unusual for budget phones in 2015.

Does it have Google Play Store?

Yes, it launched before the 2019 Huawei restrictions. But many modern apps no longer support its Android 5.1 OS.

How is the battery life?

Weak: 2,200mAh was small even in 2015, and any used unit's battery is a decade old. Check for swelling and rapid drain before buying.

What are its RAM and storage?

2GB RAM and 16GB storage with a dedicated microSDXC slot — you don't sacrifice a SIM for expansion.

Is it PTA approved?

PTA status is per-device. Verify the IMEI via SMS to 8484 before purchase — many old imports are unregistered.

Is it available at Zohaan Mobile Gallery?

Final Verdict

The Enjoy 5s is a nicely preserved time capsule: slim metal body, fingerprint sensor, dedicated SD slot — all admirable for 2015. But its 2,200mAh battery and Android 5.1 make it a worse daily proposition than even the plain Enjoy 5. Buy it only as a collector's piece or an ultra-cheap backup, at a price that reflects a ten-year-old phone, with the battery and IMEI checked first.
