Design and Build Quality
The Crest Max uses flat frames with 2.5D curved edges and a glossy squarish camera module. HMD rates it IP52 for dust and splash resistance, and its headline design feature is Repairability 1.0: the back panel, battery, display, and charging port are designed to be user-replaceable, which can extend the phone's usable life and cut e-waste. The side-mounted fingerprint sensor sits in the power button.
Display Features
The 6.67-inch OLED panel with 1080 x 2400 resolution and 90Hz refresh rate is the Crest Max's strongest hardware point at this level — OLED panels are still uncommon in its segment, giving deeper blacks and better contrast than the LCD screens most rivals use.
Processor and Performance
The Unisoc T760 is a 6nm octa-core chip (1x 2.2 GHz Cortex-A76 + 3x Cortex-A76 + 4x Cortex-A55) with a Mali-G57 GPU and an integrated 5G modem. It handles daily tasks, social apps, and streaming comfortably; it is a mid-range chip, not a gaming flagship, so demanding 3D titles will need reduced settings. HMD pairs it with 8GB RAM plus 8GB of virtual RAM expansion.
RAM and Storage
The Crest Max ships with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage — generous at this price — and a microSDXC slot for further expansion, so storage pressure is unlikely.
Camera Features
The triple rear setup is led by a 64MP main sensor with a Sony sensor (per launch reports), joined by a 5MP ultrawide and a 2MP macro. The standout is the 50MP front camera — genuinely unusual in this segment — with gesture-controlled hands-free selfies, AI Super Portrait mode, and a Flash Shot mode for moving subjects. Video tops out at 1080p@30fps.
Battery and Charging
A 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging is verified, and HMD includes the charger in the box — something many brands have stopped doing. HMD claims the battery keeps good health even after 800 charge cycles. Expect a full day of typical use.
Software and Updates
The phone launched on Android 14. HMD promised two years of OS updates and security updates for the Crest series — check the box or HMD's channels for the current status of that commitment before buying.
Connectivity and Additional Features
Supports 5G SA/NSA (bands n1/n3/n28/n40/n78 per retailer listings), Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, USB Type-C, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and dual Nano-SIM. NFC is not confirmed for all regions.
Variants, Colours and Availability
One main variant is documented: 8GB + 256GB, in Aqua Green, Royal Pink, and Deep Purple. The phone was launched in India in August 2024; no official HMD Pakistan launch has been confirmed, so Pakistan units come through unofficial channels — verify the IMEI on 8484 before paying.
Price in Pakistan and PTA Information
There is no official HMD Pakistan price for the Crest Max. Pakistan retailer listings (all unofficial estimates, checked October 2026) disagree widely: Rs. 52,999 (Parhlo), Rs. 58,500 (Hi94), Rs. 60,300 (Mobile57, October 2026), and Rs. 67,999 (MobileKiShop). The spread itself is the signal — street prices vary, so confirm the actual price with Zohaan Mobile Gallery before buying.
PTA: PTA approval applies per device and IMEI, not per model. Before paying, send the phone's IMEI to 8484 and confirm "Compliant" status. How to check PTA approval.

Final Verdict
The HMD Crest Max is a strong spec-for-money package: OLED 90Hz display, 5G, 64MP triple camera, 50MP selfies, and a repairable body. Its honest catch in Pakistan is the unofficial channel — no official launch means no official warranty and volatile listing prices.
