HMD Barbie Phone Price in Pakistan & Features
HMD Barbie Phone — Full Specifications, Features & Price in Pakistan
The HMD Barbie Phone, made by HMD in collaboration with Mattel, is a feature phone — a pink flip phone, not a smartphone. There are no apps, no touchscreen apps store, no WhatsApp in the usual sense: it calls, texts, takes basic photos, and plays FM radio. This guide is honest about what it is, its verified specifications, and who should actually buy one.

Design and Build Quality
The whole point: glossy Power Pink flip design with a mirror-finish outer, Barbie-themed interface, two extra back covers, a beaded lanyard with charms, and stickers in the box. It is a fashion and nostalgia object first, a phone second. The flip mechanism is snappy; at 18.9 mm folded it is chunky by modern standards.
Display Features
A 2.8-inch TFT LCD (240 x 320) inside and a 1.77-inch outer display with a mirror for time and notifications. These are basic displays for calls and texts — not for reading articles or watching video. There is no touchscreen.
What It Can and Cannot Do
It can: make calls, send SMS, store contacts, take simple VGA photos, play FM radio, play MP3s from a microSD card, and last days on a charge.
It cannot: run WhatsApp, YouTube, banking apps, Google Maps, or any smartphone apps. The 128MB/64MB memory and S30+ platform are for the phone's basic functions only. Buy it only if you understand this — it is a digital-detox or secondary phone, not a smartphone replacement.
Camera Features
A single 0.3MP (VGA) rear camera with LED flash. Photos are extremely basic — fine for a fun snapshot, useless for anything you want to keep or print. There is no front camera.
Battery and Charging
The 1,450 mAh removable battery sounds small, but with no apps and tiny screens it lasts days of standby and a full day of heavy calling. Charges over USB-C. A removable battery means easy replacement years down the line.
Software and Platform
The international HMD Barbie Phone runs the S30+ software platform: a simple menu-driven interface with a Barbie-pink theme, large readable text, and no learning curve. It handles calls, SMS, contacts, alarms, and FM radio reliably. There is no app store and no way to install WhatsApp, YouTube, or banking apps — and no background updates draining the battery. For many buyers that limitation is the appeal: nothing to maintain, nothing for a child to download by accident. If you need even basic smart features, this is simply the wrong phone.
Connectivity and Additional Features
4G LTE calling, dual Nano-SIM, Bluetooth 5.0, USB-C, 3.5 mm headphone jack, wireless FM radio, loudspeaker. No Wi-Fi, no GPS, no NFC.
Variants, Colours and Availability
One variant: Power Pink, 128MB + 64MB (international). Note that some regions got a different hardware configuration — check the box specifications on the unit you buy. The box includes extra covers, charms, lanyard, and stickers.
Price in Pakistan and PTA Information
Retail estimates: Rs. 13,449 (priceoye.pk, discounted from Rs. 15,999), Rs. 14,999 with official warranty (ishopping.pk), Rs. 17,400 (pakmobizone.pk), and Rs. 21,500 PTA-approved (theskinfit.com). Prices vary by seller and tax status — confirm with Zohaan Mobile Gallery before buying.
PTA: even feature phones need PTA approval for full network use in Pakistan. Verify the specific unit's IMEI by SMS to 8484 before paying, and read how to check PTA approval.

Who Should Consider This Phone?
Good fit: Barbie fans and collectors, parents buying a first phone for a young child (calls and texts only), anyone wanting a digital-detox secondary phone, or a fun gift.
Look elsewhere if: you need WhatsApp, maps, or any apps at all — browse all mobiles for real smartphones at similar prices.
HMD Barbie Phone vs Ordinary Feature Phones
A basic bar-style feature phone makes the same calls and sends the same texts for less money, so what does the Barbie Phone add? The flip form factor with its mirror-finish outer display, 4G LTE calling on modern networks, Bluetooth 5.0, USB-C charging, and the full Barbie package — extra covers, beaded lanyard, charms, and stickers in the box. You are paying for design, novelty, and 4G rather than extra capability. If you only need the cheapest possible backup for calls, an ordinary feature phone is the rational buy; if you want the Barbie experience, a collector's piece, or a gift that delights, this is the one to pick.
